I HAVE downloaded the Lightspeed Digital software GACELA and my advice is......DON'T DO IT! It messes with IE something crazy, makes the pages jump around anytime you click on anything and logging on to the PC from scratch takes about ten times as long.:mad::mad:

I am running Vista Business with IE 7, so it may be different for others, but it basically messed things around so bad I immediately uninstalled it. Even so, it still took a few reboots before everything came back as before, nearly had a heart attack, thought I was going to have reinstall Windows or restore back to yesterday or something, luckily it didn't come to that.

I also downloaded the Nielsen software and that gave no problems to my PC at all, but I have now uninstalled it because the incentive is rubbish. You get 3 chances to enter a prize draw which you probably won't win, and to enter to have to take time out to play their stupid games. NOT worth it IMHO. :(

I too have to agree with you on this. After I uninstalled this, IE went back to normal. Avoid this program!!

I uninstalled it and they know I've uninstalled as they sent an email telling me... Gave me another chance to download it which I refused. Still had quite a few surveys from them this week so don't think that's the reason you haven't had any surveys

  • Anyone else sent a survey today - 80 points for a 25 minute survey? This is about 70-75p, what a pathetic hourly rate that works out as! Other survey companies pay between £1.50-£4 for 25 minutes. If we all refuse to do it, maybe they might start increasing their rubbish pay... fingers crossed :D

There is probably no point in withdrawing your mouse clicks and time , unless you don't really need the funds.

Lightspeed was probably one of the best (still is to a degree ) and it makes sound business sense that if you have more people chasing "survival" let alone "the dream" you can afford to do some cost savings because they KNOW there is now a ready market prepared to accept the payment regardless and putting it bluntly not wishing to upset anybody , it is just a turn of phrase , the wheat of once can now be replaced with the chaff ...... its economics.

I have accepted it as little as it has been of late the recompense along with a couple of others (small as it is) has assisted myself in not going overdrawn (shortly to change) ...... in that scenario a few pounds has been the difference of 10's or 100's of pounds.
    The years starts today ....

I ignored the email to download the software and I haven't heard anything from them since May.
Can I assume that they are in the huff??
Pity as their surveys were a good way to build up points quickly!

I didn't download the software either and have still received surveys from them - most of which I don't qualify for. :rotfl:

However yesterday I got a survey for 110 points and today one for 80 points, but hey better than nothing. So don't worry about not installing the software, you should still get surveys.

I also didn't install the software Pinecone wanted you to install and I still receive surveys from them.
