or if you don't want to give all your information to a German company that isn't covered by the UK data protection act, download it.

If you want to give all you rinformation to a German company that isn't covered by the UK data protection act download it.

The company that Lightspeed have partnered with for this are Nurago.

according to their website their software does the following:-
The regular setup is comprised of a Browser Add-on which is downloaded and installed on participants’ computers and an internet based service. All locally installed Add-ons communicate via the internet with servers (Service Nodes) to upload collected data and receive updates.
The Add-on installs itself into Internet Explorer (6+), as well as into Firefox (2+), under Windows 2000+ (Google Chrome will be supported in the future). The only visible component is an entry in the help/about menu (although more components can be added to inform users about the data collection status).
The Add-on is able to track the user behaviour, capture and manipulate the viewed contents, and display additional, interactive graphical controls in the browser interface. Due to the possibility of storing states beyond sessions locally as well as remotely, it is possible to implement complex study designs. Using HTML for all additional graphical controls (feedbackbar, survey popups, about dialog, etc.) gives maximal freedom of design.
so not only do they know what you're looking at. THEY CAN CHANGE IT AS WELL.

Do you fancy letting them tap your phone lines too? let them listen to every word you are saying?

would you let someone open all of your post, to see what kind of mail you are getting...

it's a very similar thing but online.

the privacy statement is a whole two sentences. NOT ENOUGH FOR THE INFORMATION THEY ARE RECEIVING.
That's not what I asked though, the poster who I asked was stating something as fact, yet provided nothing to back it up.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao
