Also if you are ever making fried eggs, sprinkle a bit on a top together with pepper at the end. It looks nice and even though you use tiny bit it kind of gives it a slightly new taste..

I love beef stroganoff with loads of smoked paprika. And I use it for prawn marie rose as well.

Well I've ordered my 750gm tin from www.delicioso.co.uk and it will be here on Tuesday. There's a £5 p&p charge for any order so I've ordered some more exotic stuff to amortise the p&p, so now even more to look forward to!

Changing the subject anyone know which, if any of the supermarkets stocks whole red peppercorns? Waitrose have mixed black & red rough ground which is NOT what I want, but not plain whole red ones. I also looked in the huge Auchan near Bolougne last week, they sell nearly everything in the pepper line (black, white, green in brine), but no red peppercorns.

I've just had a look at Seasoned Pioneers and they said no to 'red peppercorns', but they do have 'pink peppercorns' -are they the same thing?

Yes they're what I mean, more like berries than peppercorns and have a pleasant fruity nutty sweet flavour.

Further searching reveals this could be a contentious subject though!...
