what is smoked paprika?

Has anyone got a recipe for a sausage casserole type recipe? I've had a look in the indexed thread but can't use the sausage hotpot recipe as i don't know what smoked paprika is and i can't use the sausage hotpot recipe as it has cream of tomato soup in it (kids can't eat it as it has cream in it).

I always chuck it on wedges with some garlic salt and pepper - Dont even bother to cook them first but will spritz them with oil we have that instead of chips. just bake them in the oven till they get golden edges.
or more often little cubes like you would for a hash - tossed in oil and covered with paprika and chili powder (we do these with thyme and rosemary as well - I like it better with egg and sausage like that )

The smokeyness is great on the potatoes
