Hi, just wondered if anyone has any recipes using smoked paprika that they'd like to share? It's our new favourite spice having never used it until recently but I've only used it in chilli and a lovely lamb dish called cochifrito and could do with some others to try. I can share the cochifrito recipe if anyone wants to try it but it won't be 'till later as the recipes at home.
Thanks,
Lisa x0 -
Hey there. I have no receipes as such, but my dad is also a paprika nut and he puts it in most everything he cooks. My personal favourite is a pinch in cottage/shepherd's pie. Mmmm!
Why not just experiment and see what you like?

I love smoked paprika in risottos - it's particularly good with bacon, mushrooms, peppers or tomato.0

SOunds good! I was thinking of trying making up the cochifrito recipe but with minced lamb instead of pieces then using it to make a shepherd's pie.0 -

Just found this while looking how to cook potato wedges
Put the wedges in cold salted water and bring to the boil. Turn heat off and leave for 3 mins. Stand them on kitchen paper until cool - the surface will be tacky, ready to soak up flavour.
Place them in a large ziplock bag with 1 tsp smoked paprika, 1 tsp mixed herbs and 1 tsp salt, pinch garlic salt and pepper and 2 tbsp olive oil and massage them.
Cook in oven at 200, GM6, for 40 to 45 mins.
Save the bag and remnants in the fridge for next time, just add more ingredients0
