Can someone help me please. I have been purchasing amazon gift vouchers with my magnum cards. However 2 x £50 magnum cards have been declined by amazon when trying to purchase £50 amazon gift vouchers because the £1 authorization fee has been deducted so there is only £49 on these cards now. What do I do???
If I wait a few days will the
£1 go back on my card??; and who do I contact about this is it master card direct.

Seems to be hit and miss with Amazon. I've not had any trouble but others are.

You will get the fee back but will take a few days. Try again at the end of the week is all I can suggest.

Ooooo :j Just had a netbook delivered from Amazon - many thanks Pixiedust ... oh and Magnum.

I've had the same problem with amazon.
E-mailed magnum a few days ago about the balance going down by a pound each time.
They just replied saying about a fee of £1 by amazon to check the full balance is there.

So now I've ordered an amazon gift certificate for £46, £47 in the account and it's gone through.

So have now emailed amazon saying I've lost £4 because of this, and have asked them to refund the £4 as gift certificates.

It's strange though, all my £10 and £20 wins went through fine.
It must just be the higher amounts they check on.
Ahh well, now got £166 to spend in amazon, gonna buy a nice new camcorder I think

I just used a £10 card to pay a bit off my Adams Mastercard online and it has seemed to go through with no hitches. My balance on the magnum card now shows at 0, and had the confirmation to say payment successful, so fingers crossed it's all ok!

could you buy 5 x £10 vouchers with a £50.00 card to bypass the check?
would that work if you did say 3 one day then 2 the next?
havent had any of mine yet so no chance to try them out!
    I want my netbook!!!

It seems to be dependant on whether you get an incompetant pleb as a cashier or not?

I don't want to offend any shopworkers out there, indeed there are very intelligent people out there who choose to work in a supermarket, but you do get a lot of less intelligent people working in supermarkets because it isn't mentally demanding compared to many other careers and is one of the easier careers to get into for less qualified or less gifted people. It stands to reason.

It's better than their having jobs in which a lack of education or intelligence would do harm or endanger people.

There should be no embarassment in having a lack of intelligence or a lack of education. A lack of education is generally the fault of society, although mine is due to laziness rather than a lack of opportunity. Having lower intelligence is something one is born with and shouldn't be embarassing any more than one should be proud of being born with higher intelligence, or proud or embarassed of anything one is born with.

As I say, you do get intelligent people working in supermarkets. You also get some really dumb people working there and it's probably the best place for them...

Talking of which, I should really go find something useful to do!

I suspect the missing £1's will reappear on your cards' balances after a day or two, so don't throw the cards away yet!

Hopefully Amazon will refund the £4 too!

    :-)

A lot of companies have their floor limit set at £50, so purchasing vouchers under the £50 mark may avoid the problems :)
