I tried twice to use a card on Paypal, declined twice and have been deducted 2
x 64p. No idea why they have taken 64p for each attempt.

Besides Amazon is there anywhere else where you can consolidate the cards as
online gift vouchers/certificates? other online stores I've looked at only send out physical vouchers with delivery charges etc.
Never bought any myself, but I have been given Play.com gift vouchers in the past which were emails like Amazon

I got my amazon email gift certificates finally through at 1am toay. I have entered another 9 in amazon, but again will have to wait 24 hours for then to be authorised so I can get all my gift certificates, then I will have enough to get my tele whoop whoop.

Not sure why yours are not working on amazon as I have entered around 20 on there now and all have gone through fine.
kimmy when you put them into your amazon accout are you adding a new card ?
i can not work out how to pay for somthing that comes to more then £20 so using more then one card for an item , i want to buy converse for my granson and need to use two cards , i added a 20 and a 10 but i think then it was trying to take the whole amount from just one card ...........god does that make sence ????/:confused:

It seems to be dependant on whether you get an incompetant pleb as a cashier or not?

Just because a cashier is unaware of the promo does not make them an incompetent pleb  Many cashiers will call a supervisor to make sure they are doing right, and not accepting (for all they know) a dodgy card. If you explain before the transaction that your card is swiped, and that you need to split the transaction it should be ok, or they can request the appropriate help.
Yes it is frustrating when you encounter problems, but why blame the cashier?

got to agree with lynsey on this - having been a till monkey for many, many years!!
Its not generally the cashiers fault, its whoever is supposed to have trained them.

i have met till staff that didn't know you could accept scottish notes before, or the difference between credit and debit cards, so its not a massive suprise that a prepaid card with no chip will confuddle a lot of people.............

Agree. My card was declined in Tesco yesterday. The cashier who works there has been a cashier for at least 20 years that I know of and still she was clueless. Iam not a cashier yet I have heard of pre-paid cards though.
Just to win anything would be great!!
