Here's one...when shopping for fruit and veg, remove the stalks so they weigh less. I read that in a magazine about 15 years ago!

And talking of magazines...pop into your local hair salon, pretending to be considering a re-style and read their magazines whilst you're waiting to speak to someone!

    Hmmm...now what else is there?

Sometimes this forum disgusts me _pale_
    But it's so addictive
  • Too hard up to buy a drink in a busy pub or bar? ...Pick up someone else's "by mistake"!

NB. This technique (also known as "minesweeping" for obvious reasons) is only for those who have good acting ability: If you're rumbled, a sweet smile and a genuine "Oh sh*t, I'm so sorry, I thought..." response works wonders...

P.S. I take no responsibilty for any black eyes or punches suffered as a result of this "tip"!

Yeah how about getting your drink spiked though?
That "minesweeping" sounds like more risk than it's worth, is your safety really worth sacrificing the cost of a pint?
