Here's one...when shopping for fruit and veg, remove the stalks so they weigh less. I read that in a magazine about 15 years ago!
And talking of magazines...pop into your local hair salon, pretending to be considering a re-style and read their magazines whilst you're waiting to speak to someone!

I re use tea bags (but i do like a weak cuppa!!!) and i cut dishwasher tablets in half.0

I take my cereal to work and use the milk there to have with it
This is to save money but also because Im always in a rush to get to work and never have the time for breakfast!

NB. This technique (also known as "minesweeping" for obvious reasons) is only for those who have good acting ability: If you're rumbled, a sweet smile and a genuine "Oh sh*t, I'm so sorry, I thought..." response works wonders...
