Hi I was 22 with my first, 24 with the 2nd, 26 with the 3rd and 35 with the 4th. I did have a 5th when I was 36 but he was stillborn.
I think that when you are young you have lots of energy and no patience and when you are older you have the patience but no energy!!!
That has been my experience anyway.
H
I have neither the energy OR the patience!!!
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
OMG! Everyone was soooooo young. I was 37 when I had my first and 40 for my 2nd. I do have more patience and am very active so energy isn't a problem.

I was 21 with 1st,,22 with 2nd and 26 with 3rd.
I guess there are pros and cons.I love my kids, but do feel I was a little young, and kind of wish I'd had a few more years of freedom spontaneity and adventure.
I conceived easily, had trouble free pregnancies, all 3 were homebirths, and after hearing other peoples birth horror stories,I had an easy time comparatively(my partner said ,like shelling peas, but I remember it more like shi**ing melons!)
When the first two were little it was really hard work and I think I kind of lost myself. And from having a beautiful perfect figure,I was suddenly fat and saggy with enormous nipples!Which sounds rather vain, but in all honesty this really upset me.(must do some exercise one of these days!)
my partner is 10 years older ,and in a way I wish I had spent my 20's going to college, meeting people and travelling.
My kids are now 9,10 and 5.They are full on but I adore them and wouldn't be without them.I am glad I am young Mum,by the time the youngest is 18 I'l only be 44,so still young enough to travel and have my own life.I hope perhaps one day I will have grandchildren, and great grandchildren, maybe even great, great!
I think 25 is a good age to start, still young but enough time to have lived a little, and had personal life experience.0 -
Too old:D
I was 37 when I had my first, and my second arrived just before my 40th birthday. I would like to say that I have more patience with them: but it isn't always true:D , and I certainly end up pretty exhausted trying to keep up with them now that they are 13 and 11 and I am 51:eek: .
Never a right or wrong age imo, as long as you are willing to make the necessary changes in your life - personally wish I had done it just a few years younger - but enjoy it anyway."there are some persons in this World who, unable to give better proof of being wise, take a strange delight in showing what they think they have sagaciously read in mankind by uncharitable suspicions of them"(Herman Melville)0 -
I am 32 and a student so by the time I get soem work expereince too I will be at least 35/36 before we have children....and if I conceive of course.
We had talked about having children now but to be honest although that would be great I should get my degree done and dusted first.
I didn't want children when I was younger but since being with the right man I do. However, I am now stuck where I feel time is ticking by. My Mum had me at 43 and I always said I didn't want to be a older mum but hey ho.0 -
I was 16 when i had my son (he is now 24) and 21 with my daughter (19 now).My daughter also had her first child just over a year ago so im now a proud Nana to my gorgeous Grandaughter."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0
