31. And wish I'd done it 10 years earlier (I would have except DH wanted to wait). I had older parents and I hated it, swore I'd never do the same. And as it's turned out, DH is older than my dad was when my brother and I were born. Even DH has to admit (occasionally) that I was right and we should have done it younger.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -
There's quite a recent and long thread on here already about this - I'm rubbish at providing links but you should be able to find it by typing the key words into search.

I was 21 when I had my first baby. I'm now 23 and starting to think about planning for another.0

i was 18 when i had my son, that was over 10 years ago now,
i still think i was too young but i wouldnt change anything, there are alot of mums at sons school who are younger than me with kids around the same age .
i think i was lucky as i had alot of support and went back to work part time when he was 6 months old and full time when he was school age.0 -
i was 28 with the first,33 with the second!(whom is now 4!) ,didnt have the choice of sooner!0

There is a poll and a lot of interesting discussion (before it went a bit off topic!).
To answer the question, I'm 22 and my first is due in 3 weeks. It wasn't planned (but wasn't prevented either) and I'm happy with the timing. Financially we are secure, we've been together for 8 years and I like babies!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
30 for the first one and 32 for the second - they are now 20 and 18!!
Interestingly - my mum was 30 when she had me and her mum was 30 when she had her !0 -
Hi I was 22 with my first, 24 with the 2nd, 26 with the 3rd and 35 with the 4th. I did have a 5th when I was 36 but he was stillborn.
I think that when you are young you have lots of energy and no patience and when you are older you have the patience but no energy!!!
That has been my experience anyway.

I had my 1st in 2007 2 months after my 22nd birthday and my 2nd is due in a couple of months. I'm still only 23 but kids should be born close together to stop any jealously!! I don't live on benefits as I used all my maternity leave to and went back to work part-time (though I'd mention that before I got tarred with the benefits brush!) as my partner looks after our wee one on his days off so I can work. It's great being a young parent because I know that when my kids are old enoguh to fend for themseles, I can get my life back coz I won't be too old!!Started PADdin' 13/04/09 paid £7486.66 - CC free 02/11/10

i was 16 when i had my son, i had just completed my gcse's and then gave birth then went to college and then into work and have been with my partner although he is not my sons father he is daddy to my son and i wouldn't have it any other way.
yes i do think that i should have waited sometimes but then i wouldn't be who i am today and i dont think he has turned out to bad.
we spend everyday when its warm going for walks or bike rides and going down the beach and then to pre school and then i pick him up from school and we play with flash cards make cakes and cards and then watch a bit of tv.
i may have been young but i didn't ruin my life and im never going to ruin his
thank you x0
