Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.

There's no point in having something this vitriolic and I certainly dont want it in the core MoneySaving boards.
Absolutely.
I think any normal person reading these boards can pretty quickly work out which posters are out purely to disrupt discussion, and who want to further discussion.
If approriate action was taken against the very tiny but very active minority, we could return to pleasant discussion.
Tempers have always been high where house prices are concerned - but all this nonsense over multiple identities and personal attacks is very recent.
Re the main subject of discussion, I think the board serves the users better where it is, which should be the primary concern when deciding where to locate it.0 -
Blimey, 18 pages in half a day!
I guess that if you want a reaction from children the most effective way is threaten to take the toys out of the pram.
Or, in this case, just move them to the other side of the pram.
Erm, yeah.0 -

or put them on the 'naughty step'"I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. I'm coming to find you now." - Harry Powell, Night of the Hunter, 1955.0 -

Does that damn thread about Felixstowe fe*cking docks hold the record for hanging around the front page the longest?
I swear someone posted up the original "Is Felixstowe Docks closing?" question back in 1982 and then someone has posted on it each day since then.
I'm dicussing thread records on an internet forum. I need help.0 -

There are plenty of wacky beliefs and nonsense in this forum, it definitely should join the pub punters down below
.
Seriously, I'd hate to be taking advice from anything said on this board. While there are thoughtful and interesting posts many are slightly off the wall, non-mainstream, perfect Money Saving Arms banter."The state is the great fiction by which everybody seeks to live at the expense of everybody else." -- Frederic Bastiat, 1848.0 -
Looking at the poll results thus far, the majority prefer the board to stay where it is.
60% vote to stay, and 20% vote to go.
Therefore, of the people who are interested enough to vote one way or another, 75% votes to stay.
Edit: Ah.Votes have moved on... nvm.
