I agree, I frequent this board because I'm interested in house prices, but the name of the board also contains the words 'economy' and 'recession', two words that most of the UK are interested in, even those with zero interest in house prices.

It is a wide area for discussion, so I do understand the reasoning behind moving the board to a gerneral discussion area. Perhaps it will raise the standard in Discussion Time? After reading a discussion in there about Jade Goody (and posting in disgust at some of the remarks), it really needs raising! :eek:

Its just because of the importance of all three of the wide topics, that I feel we should NOT be put in a virtual bar/pub. Martin Lewis stands for financial empowerment to a lot of people. To suggest we can sort out our CC or mortages is 'within our remit as the public' but our thoughts on economy, our 'educational empowrment' is bar fodder only, and pointless, is to me, a step back in the responsibilty and empowerment MSE's message appears to be about.

So- the point I'm getting to is that it felt kinda cliquey where ever it got moved to as well:)

Nearly all the boards (on all sites) are cliquey to a certain extent. Its how it is when the same folk post on a regular basis. I post on the DFW board too, some of them might be shocked to find I have a split personality and post on the fisticuffs board as well, given that I come over all 'ever so nice and sympathetic there':o

Hehe, I post there too itsnever2lateisit and the bankruptcy board, the housing board etc etc.

In fact, my MSE life started on the DFW board.

I have several internet personas......sometimes I wonder who the real me is!
