You need to be 'on the ball' over the few weeks after you move this board because a lot of these jokers will be back on the house buying/renting board, telling people not to buy because there is a HPC. People who go on that board have made the decision to buy and dont need a load of doomsters calling them idiots for buying. They want advice about the buying and sellign process. End of.

Good luck Divadee, for what its worth I thought you were poorly treated by these guys when they were a sub board and you moved some of the economy talk onto DT. This board is purely speculation and sicussion there are NO moneysaving tips, this is not PURE money. It's opinion based on reading a few newspapers and websites or re-hasing Robert Peston.

I think Broders and his puppets can be proud that they have managed to get this board moved.
It was hardly surprising after their attacks on DD and others over the last few days that this time would come.
It is a shame because at times I have learnt so much from the likes of generali and before Mewbie and broders got out of hand the banter was fun.

The board is being moved to a different area of a website. Divadee's analogy about a restaurant moving down the street was incorrect. The restaurant is inthe same building, just on a different floor. You dont even have to get up out your chair, you just scroll down the page.

You guys sit around discussing and speculating about the economy. How is this in any way related to the rest of the Pure Money pages. If I go into the Pension or Investment boards I get tips on cheap ways to invest or information on the different vehicles. If I go into the Mortgage board I get information on different mortgage products. If I go into the Debt Free Wannabe board I get information on how to get out of debt. If I go into the mortgage free wannabe board I get information on the best ways to reduce my mortgage. If I go into the House Buying & renting board I get information on how to deal with the tortuous process of buying a house or help with problems with landlords or deposit schemes. Need I go on?

What information can I glean on this board? That house prices will fall 70%? - SPECULATION. That we should hoard food and build a bunker? - MADNESS, that the recession wil turn into a depression and we'll all be eating from soup kitchen - SPECULATION & DISCUSSION. That chucky has 10 Sock puppets - NOT INTERESTING (and wrong cos I havent).

There are no 'tips, tricks, or money saving information imparted in this board. At best (generali and others) its an interesting financial DISCUSSION forum at worst it's a playground.

No I wont, because those guys are just as bad. All people want when they come to MSE is information about a problem they may have, whether its debt issues or how they mule credit cards or how they reclaim bank charges or how they repay their mortgages or which pension product is best for their circumstances.

If they come on MSE to have a discussion they should go to DISCUSSION TIME, do you see? The clue is in the title.... it's not rocket science is it?
