I wish I could change my job but I'm on a DMP and wouldn't get anything that pays this well, so would probably have to go bankrupt - has crossed my mind though :o
    What is DMP?

What don't you like about your job?

I don't have any friends, I drive em away with my depression.
People only like me when I'm fun and or a good listener

    My family drive me nuts

    I wanna run away

A true friend is there whether you are good fun or depressed. You need to find a true friend. Maybe you haven't really driven them away, maybe one or two are just waiting for you to get in touch? :o

Families - they drive everyone nuts, that's what they're there for. But deep down they all love you no matter what.

As for running away - where would you go? what would that change?

I'd love to run away and just be on my own for a week or so but OH would be worried and the step kids would want to know who was going to make cups of tea and buy biscuits and wash all the plates up

True friends don't exist. They all b*gger off and hurt you in the end

How old are your stepkids? If they are old enough, tell them to make their own tea and wash up.

I bet you have to work and do all the fkn housework when you get in. No wonder you feel stressed and down. Men just act all useless, so we end up doing it.

DMP - debt management plan - owe lots of money - informal arrangement to pay it off (not strict like an IVA or anything).

the job? seems to take 3 years for any decisions to be made on my projects. meantime I'm bored.

Yeah the kids are old enough to make their own cuppa etc but OH doesn't like them making a mess so gets me to do it.

OH does most of the cleaning. I do washing, food shop and all the cooking, clearing up of dinner, loading + unloading dishwasher (I'd cry if that broke).

I've got 2 true friends. One's my cousin and the other I don't see as often as I'd like to - in fact might ring her and see if we can get together.

Is is more that you LET them bring you down? Do you ever stand up for yourself and say no, don't treat me that way? (I know I'm hardly one to talk on that count :o)

It sounds frustrating, not sure what an IVA is either

I know it is difficult coping with a mess but they have to learn. Why can't he make it?

You're a newlywed according to your username. Set the boundaries now else you will be doing this forever!

Men will let women do it all if you don't set boundaries. At least yours cleans, he should help with food shop and share the cooking /clearing if you both work full time.

IVA is similar to a DMP except that an IVA is a formal agreement usually only for 5 years (a DMP goes on till your debt is all paid - an IVA they write some debt off). For an IVA you get listed on the Bankruptcy Register that you are on an IVA and if you fail to make an agreed payment -even due to job loss etc then they can make you bankrupt.
