Support for people with Depression

I'm pretty sure I scored around 16, judging by your earlier post.
Waiting is going to be awful. I just got the feeling from the Doctor that I wasn't going to pass. He said sometimes supported work would be better than doing nothing.
He basically said I had no mental illness, which depression and anxiety are and that I was traumatised, which isn't a mental illness.
I hope you find the strength to appeal, with support.0 -
Beth I totally agree. There isn't a one-size-fits-all profile for depression. It is no respecter of IQ. Trauma can and does manifest itself as mental illness. Makes me so p*d off that kind of attitude
Miro - I have everything crossed for you sweetheart. (I have done for the past two years and I'm not about to give up now!:D)
Beth take your time and see how you feel re appeal xx
V busy at work but will pop back later.

He was trying to trip me up all the time. The fact I walked to the appointment on my own (2 mins from my place) means I can go out an do things on my own apparently.
I think I need more than everything crossed. I feel the pressure will be too much if I then have to go and find work. I'm not even on DLA or disablement benefit, just Income Support with a small disability element.0 -

would know that it does not always mean you cry all the time or look mentaly ill. Also i think you have been reading too many articals about people who fake phisical illness being followed. There is no way they can diagnose depression or decide people don't have it by watching and following someone so it would be pointless.Anyway hope you manage to get some sleep and let us know how you got on.
Thanks, I've posted what happened above.
I've explained things to GP's etc before, but for some reason they just fob me off. I really can't explain it.
I've probably seen the adverts where people are being watched. If GP's don't take me seriously, some DWP worker isn't going too.
I need to pop out and get some shopping, but will leave it until tomorrow, just incase the Doctor I saw is buying a pint of milk!0 -

Will cheer on Man Who, as I live in England.
Would have prefered Petr Cech & Tomas Rosicky to be in the final, but never mind!0 -
Yeah I'm a big Cech fan of course, but we didn't deserve to be in the final. Gilly's giving me stick for not supporting Man U lol but I can't bring myself to :rotfl: Gem my grandfather was an avid fan of horseracing - i used to watch it with him and I still do now and again:)
Hmm... Barca are one up... dont think it'll stay that way tho...

I would argue that, had it not been for a bald Norwegian and an anglophobian Frenchman, you'd have been at the final.
Oh well, my day is up. Another new one tomorrow. Hopefully no medicals tomorrow0
