Does anyone who takes Citalopram know if you can take Kalms at the same time? Cant find advice online and dont want to waste doctors time by making an appointment to ask.

Also this is my second time on Citalopram, just started this week, after suffering depression in 2007/08. All usual side effects are back, nothing major but noticed grinding my teeth a lot. Does anyone else get this?

    Thanks

Hi you could try asking the nhs helpline or your pharmasist

    Hi keithing-ger!sHa_wave5.gif
Just wanted to say hello and sSig_welcome2.gif to the thread. sLo_hug2.gif
Thanks for posting - always better to get a professional opinion though angel. Everyone is different biologically and chemically so we can't give advice on specific meds on the thread - that could be dangerous.
You're doing the right thing in checking - just because something is available over the counter or is homeopathic or complimentary treatments, you should never just trust that they're all right to take. Nearly all meds are based on natural ingredients so don't assume the easily available rememdies are harmless. Mental ill health is a very personal diagnosis and what may affect one person badly may be of benefit to another person.
One suggestion would be to speak to your chemist and ask their advice. I think as your med is new to you they might say see your doctor.
My advice would be that this is something that needs a doctor's appointment. You've only started taking the med this week so there may or may not be any side effects but regardless, your doctor will be able to prescribe something safe and suitable to your personal health situation to help with anxiety or any other issues. I know you don't want to trouble the dr but you need to communicate with them about everything you experience and seek their advice. This is the only way you can be helped to the maximum benefit. Don't feel like you're wasting their time - if it's important enough to post about, then it's important enough to talk about too.wink.gif
I don't know your circumstances but are you getting any other help or support, hun?
Feel free to post here whenever you need to angel and I hope you'll feel better soon.

Thanks very much - might look in on the thread from time to time. Writing a lot of things down, which is helping too.
    Cheers!

hello all, hope everything on the up or will pick up for you soon.
hi miroslave and thanks,i can walk, their is a few green chain walks as well as some green spaces around in the form of a park and a park like area round the corner. worth looking into and doing.
it, if im honest, just that im lazy and need to motivate myself to move, keep it going and do what i can to get out. used to enjoy going for a walk and probably could do with pottering around the garden more.
as much as my family is my family, and have feelings for them, i find it best to keep my distance more oftern than not as some of them will take advantage of my good nature plus inclinded to be nasty, backstabbing etc.

Walking is just as good for the mind as it is the body. Getting into the habit would be a really good thing, taking water and something healthy to eat :)

I know exactly what you mean about people taking advantage. I've found all but a couple of people in my life have taken advantage and rarely give anything back. I find quality of people is way better than quantity. I'm used to having few people in life I can call a friend and I prefer it that way.

thanks miroslav. well said, and appreciated.
hi all, hope, good luck and hugs to everyone. hope everyone okay or will pick up soon.
not too bad really at the moment, tired still after managing to get a decent nights sleep, despite waking up in the small hours of saturday and needing to make a cuppa and chill till i could go back again.
i dont think that having the grass going mouldy/funny in my composter and giving it a mix with the stuff in thier on sat and another mix on sun with extra stuff did my chest any good but i feel better for keeping myself busyier/slighty more active than normal.

Hi everyone.I have been off my meds for over a week and am feeling ok.I thought i would come off them because i have had a cronic cough since January. The doctor said it was caused my acid reflux but the tablets did not stop the cough and i thought maybe they could be conflicting with my ads.Anyway the cough has stopped so fingers crossed neither it or the depression comes back:)Tiff still waiting for the next part of your chronicles of course we understood it you write very well, ever thought of writing a book of your life?
