I thought I was bad. Less than 15 years and old furniture (out of no cash, rather than not wanting to change)

Try and get out most days and treat yourself. Even if you only spend £1 a day on yourself, buy something to cheer yourself up. Chocolate, magazine, cake....whatever.

It won't change your life, but it may give you a small lift for a moment.

Thanks. God, I sound down don't I? It's my dad's place and I guess I should accept the way he wants to live. It's a case of if it ain't broke don't fix it with him, and if it's broke then fix it rather than buy a new one, even if that means it's held together with copious amounts of tape! When I've had money over the years, I've offered money to help him out, but to no avail. Now I'm back here after 10 years, it's quite strange. He's actually proud that the carpet in the hallway is 35 years old.

I think furniture that is 15 years old is good in comparison!

Yeah, just seem to be in on my own all the time. Someone at work told me I turned out ok during the week. I was taken aback because sometimes I feel like I must be the weirdest person on the planet!
