Whereabouts do you live? If you want to pm me, or say on the forum, I don't mind doing a websearch for you to see if there are any depression support groups in your area if you don't feel up to doing that yourself. I'm just thinking that if you found such relief from finding cyberfriends on here then being with real people might help too. Maybe there's a MIND group or a Depression Alliance group nearby. They might be able to recommend a sympathetic doctor, too.

Not that we're not real of course .... :rotfl: just that you can't actually see us in the flesh, so to speak!

I have to say, just getting it out in the open so far is a relief, so who know's how much easier it could get with more people to talk to.

I just want to share some good news - Ive also posted this on the other depression thread so Im sorry for repeating myself but Im quite excited!

My brother, who is 8 years my junior, and is wife are expecting a baby. She has gone into labour tonight even though she was due on 26th! Im just so excited to think I will probably wake up tomorrow morning with the news that I have a new little nephew/niece. Can't wait! Im sort of hoping for a girl but I just hope it goes ok for her during the labour.

We were very close growing up and spent a lot of time together and so Im dead chuffed for him. My two girls are grown up so it will be nice to have a baby in the family again. Send your positive vibes for a smooth delivery for her!

Ah, that's brilliant. Don't worry if it's not a girl, you can always put him in dresses until he's old enough to realise he's not meant to look pretty :rotfl:

Hi all. How is everyone?

beth - hope you have good news soon and all goes well.


I went to see a homeopath and feel that the treatment has helped lift the fog from off my brain. Feeling much more like myself, although still sad, so am actually functioning like I feel I should.

Another break through though... OH has finally (after many hints and suggestions) admitted he may have depression and is talking about seeing a dr. This is a huge step for him. He's adamant he doesn't want pills but hopefully some cbt or something else the dr suggests may help.

I wanted them to have a girl but as long as everything is ok thats the main thing. Can't wait to see him! He's over 8lb!

Wow - that was one helluva catnap, even for me! Sorry about that, guys. It's not that I didn't care - I've missed you all muchly. I'm glad to be here to welcome you all to Purrsday.
Talking of which, I'd also like to send a warm to ~*plushroom*~,(plush). Thanks for being brave enough to post hunnie - it can be really hard to open up on a thread like this but that's far outweighed by the benefits of knowing that you're not alone in what you're going through. If only more people would try and open up and find that same reassurance. I see the lovely folks here have made you feel at home, as they do with everyone.
And it's also great to see our lovely ilgd, rose, cb2, ccstar and spacey drop in!(you have no idea how much it hurts to do that! )

Due to the distinct lack of daft Tiffy pics, I may over-indulge over the next couple of days so I shall start as I mean to go on.



I think this method should be prescribed to everyone on the thread - all those in favour say, 'Aye!'

I see I've got a lot of catching up to do, plus I've got my cpn coming to see me at Tiff Towers. I've told him not to come on a day with a 'y' in it, but he won't listen! Still, at least he gets some sprinting practice in for the Olympics when he tries to leave.
