Just popping in to say good luck to everyone and welcome to the new members!
Do remember to keep drinking - often what feels like hunger is actually thirst.
If you don't like plain water, try stirring a couple of spoons of very low fat natural yogurt into water to make a pro-biotic drink. Or get a large empty drink container, make up a batch and keep it in the fridge, but give it a good shake before you drink it as it tends to separate. I find this fills a gap better than plain water, but I'm sure that's psychological!I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hello all!
As of today I am 12st 9lbs. I recently purchased My Fitness Coach for the Wii (obtained it wth Nectar points) and have been doing that on the days that I don't either walk or do some other form of exercise.
Like last month, it is not being active that is the problem for me-it is the amount of food! Tomorrow is DH's last day at work so my challenge will be not to eat due to stress. An added stress is that half term starts next week.
Best of luck to all of us!! :j0 -
Evening all, hope everyone's well. I've made a good start to this month. Yesterday OH and I took the dog for a 4 mile walk along the beach and had lunch (just a sandwich and salad - I said no to pudding which has to be a 1st!) I've been working most of today and because it was such a lovely evening I intended to go for a long walk but ended up doing my Davina DVD in the house instead. I feel all virtuous at the moment because last month was so bad for me weight loss-wise but after all that boxing and weights work I feel fab. Fingers crossed I can keep it up this time. All the coffee in Columbia won't make me a morning person...

Cymbaline - half terms stress me out too! im hoping the weather stays nice this time and plan to get out and about with the kids. My boys need to learn to ride their bikes without stabilisers - and i might even try to borrow a bike so i can learn and we can all laugh at each other falling off!
See if there are any free local things on around you that you can get to with the kids. I've ordered some days out tokens withmy clubard points so we can go ice skating & bowling on the cheap hopefully! could never afford to go otherwise.
Weightwise - first bad day of WW and only coz my sis was with me and we were out for half of the day. I always feel like i can cheat when she's with me.... which i know is wrong! Will be making up for it in the next two days though - despite having 2 parties to go to! Gonna use them to test myself ....0 -
Dragon would you be so kind and sign me up again please.
I seem to have turned a corner and found willpower of iron, where from, who knows, but lovin it. Its as though a switch has flicked in my head.
I am now very much focussed on not breaking the diet because once I do I never seem to find the way back.0 -
Ooooohhhh glitterball - pass some my way would ye love?!
Didn't do too badly yesterday - although I did have a choccie biscuit after tea which I shouldn't have had! So so far this week, I've had 2 creme eggs and a chocolate biscuit that I shouldn't have had!The weekend will be the big test though! I've done absolutely no exercise - as don't seem to have enough mins in the day at the mo - but I'll try better next week - might even squeeze in a wee swim or 2 over the weekend!!
:hello: to all the newbies!! And well done on all you managing to put me to shame with the exercise!!
Haven't time to reply to you all individually just now - but hope you all have a good day - and fingers crossed the sunshine keeps up over the weekend!

Hello all, and well done on the cast iron determination glitterball! Thanks to all who posted hunger-busting tips, keep them coming as I am battling the snack urge constantly!
Sorry I've been so off the radar this week, just been so busy at work and getting ready for this wedding, I have hardly exercised apart from walking to/from work and an hour's walk last night. Argh! I've eaten ok but had a few slip ups. And this morning I weighed in at 61.1kg, which is very disheartening. But I will pick myself up and carry on! I'm fitting into my dress ok, which is the main thing.
I'll be back to normal service next week. In the meantime, have a good weekend everyone xGet to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Hi all, can't believe that it's april already! Where does the time go?!
I managed to go swimming on tuesday night with DD, and was supposed to meet a friend and her to DD's but they didn't make it. But luckily another 2 friends from school were there which was great 'cos she went off with them which let me swim for at least an hour by myself. Nothing major, just up and down at a leasurely pace.
Because of this (i'm sure!!) i lost 4lbs!! So only another 3 to go and that's me for this month. I must admit after last weeks poor 1lb effort, i was starting to think that it wasn't going to come off without a struggle.
Because of that though i've been eating more salad and fruit/veg than i would normally, to fill me up basically, thankfully it's working and the swimming! Might see if i can fit in another session if possible.....Mmm not easy with 2 kids (10 and 2) and a hubby that goes out 2-3 nights a week and most of sunday, and i am an avon rep!
Doesn't leave must 'me' time - LOL!!
Anyway sorry for the long post this time, but as i don't post everyday, i'm sure that you won't mind (hehehe!)
Have a good week/end one and all, will catch up with you soon.

Well done poshstocks!!! :T :T :T :T :T That's a fab loss!! I honestly don't know how you manage such fantastic losses - I feel as though I have to fight with every lb!! You need to share your secret!
Following on from that - I'm possibly about to explain why I struggle - one of the guys in work (very thoughtfully) came back with a creme egg for each of us girls - and I'm hungry!! - Do I have the willpower to resist?! Hhhhhmmmm!!
I've done well so far today, Had 2 slices of wholemeal toast and a banana for brekkie - forgot the p/mint t-bags though - so I'm making do with lots (and lots) of water!!
I was meant to be going out for dinner tonight - to test drive the place we're planning on having the hen do - but I think I might sack it off and go to bodystep/swimming in its place.
Tara - Is the wedding this weekend? Hope you have a fab time! I'm sure you'll look amazing in your dress!!
xx0 -
crapwithmoney - resist the creme egg, you can do it!!!!!! I know the feeling about fighting every lb!
Yes, the wedding's this weekend, should be a good day if the weather holds.
poshstock - I can't believe your weight loss, well done! That is amazing.
Right, I'm off to start my own 'Gain half a stone in April challenge' thread (I have been threatening to do this!). :rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs
