Hi, im new here so i jsut thought i would say a little about myself. I managed to lose quite a bit of weight last year and then fell ill with a virus and so lost even more weight as i was not eating and drinking. Then i met my partner and they moved in with me and thats where it has all gone wrong. due to there illness they have to eat at least every 2 hours (this is from a specialist) to keep there energy up and try to stop them from getting ill...so i end up eating too! so over the past year i have put on a lot of weight - i got a shock when i got on the scales. i knew i had put on weight but i didnt realise it was as much as it was and so it kicked me into action again! i started watching what i eat (its torture when my OH eats what they want and not put on weight!!) since i weighed myself last week and since then i have lost 5 stone. Problem is i hurt my knee at work and have been of with it ( i could barely walk on it and as a nurse i couldnt be walking around for 12.5 hour shifts!!) the physios at work think that i may have damaged my anterior cruciate ligament so the only excercise i can get at the moment is walking and being on my feet at work! i cant wait to get back ot cycling as the weather is so nice!!£27.76/£2018 in 20180

Is it too late for an April joiner?.....I lost 45lbs last year, which was good, but I need to lose another 40lbs this year to reach a normal weight....and this year I have all run out of oomph...anyway if I can join in that would be most helpful!

Good evening everyone, I hope you all had a good weekend and managed without the forum.
Think I've been ok during the weekend, did a bit of extra walking and went for a bike ride (with children though so probably no very effective, but moving all the same I suppose) Food wise I have done worse than planned, a late night saturday lead to pizza!! but I shared it and it was a homecooked and that was it, no greasy chips etc. Felt badly for ruining the work I'd done the days before.
Doing wii fit but missed body tests its too depressing doing it every day and being told your overweight.
Enjoy the rest of your evening0 -
Morning! I wondered why there were so few posts since Friday and then remembered about the forum shutdown. :rotfl: Can't see any differences meself... yet!
Wedding was lovely, bride was the thinnest she's ever been (she's been crash dieting and crash exercising and plans to put on a stone on honeymoon!), the weather wasn't great, the band were excellent and my dress fitted!
I'm 60.2kg this morning so the numbers are going back down... although considering my shocking low level of exercise last week that's probably just loss of muscle tone! I'm well and truly back on the wagon today. I ate some chocolate yesterday (bad) and it tasted like manna, I just wanted more. I think I need that Paul McKenna 'beat your cravings' (or whatever it's called) book. Anyone tried it? If I could stop eating sweet stuff I'd be so happy.
Welcome to the new posters, you will love this wee thread! Well done to everyone, keep it up and we will be skinny minnies this time next month!

Morning all!!
How are we all today?
I'm embarassed to report yet another STS from me!The weekend's just keep letting me down! I'm gonna try up the ante and actually do some exercise this week though - I'll nip back home and lunch and grab my swimming stuff - then I can squeeze in a wee swim in the afternoon! (Sssshhhhh - don't tell my boss!
)
Foodwise - haven't eaten yet, but the plan for now looks like this:
b: Banana and Mullerlight yoghurt (Staying off the sugar-free stuff is just not working for me - it makes me too hungry all the time - but I have cut it down drastically!!)
l: h/made soup
d: h/made Chicken stir fry
Since i'm working yet another cheeky wee 13 hour shift today, I don't think I'll have much time for snacking - well fingers crossed anyway!
Tara Glad you enjoyed the wedding - and good news the weight's on the way back down again! :T
Newbies Hello and welcome!! :hello: Bex Was that a typo when you said you'd lost 5 stone since you weighed last week?
nickynoo - how you finding your first few days back on SW?

Okay this is going to hurt...weighed myself this morning and I am 13st10lbs. So this week it's back to the sensible portions and no desert regime ( sweet things being one of my waterloos ) It will be hard because my boys are off school for Easter, but if I keep waiting for the right time, I am never going to do this.0

Hi peeps:hello:
Well i completely fell off the wagon last week:o:rotfl: I had a couple of takeaways and some ice cream and dread to think how much weight i've put on:eek: I refuse to weigh myself today as it will just depress me so i'm going to wait until next week and hope for the best.
I'm back on the WW wagon this morning so hoping for a good loss in April. I'm really loving these challenges as they keep me so much more motivated than i would be otherwise:T
Congrats to all you losers this week:p and a big motivating ((((((hug)))))) to all those like myself who need to kick start the weight loss again. x:starmod:C'est la vie:starmod:0 -
Hi everyone. How are you all? It was awful over the weekend not being able to read on here - that seems to be my sad life now - reading about everyone elses!
I have had a very bad week both food and exercise wise.
We have decided to put the house on the market (great timing) and I really think it is the best thing to do. The house has been a weight round my neck for the last 4 years and I would say it probably contributed to our separation.
Anyway as we have been working hard decorating and cleaning etc etc, I have been eating crap and have not been running. I fully expect to have put on this week. I am however being good today and will also be running later. Weigh in is Wednesday am so hopefully between today and tomorrow will be able to do some damage limitation. :rolleyes:0
