Morning All
Queenie: What a lovely poem, I hope that DD appreciates me that much when shes older.
PP: Glad your feeling better.
Lillibet: So glad Spud OK we havent had to make that first trip to A&E yet but no doubt its not long off.
Pawpurrs: Congratulations that a big acheivement.
DD is watching Teletubbies so I've got a minute to say good morning. Had some fab news yesterday the in-laws have paid off there mortgage, we are so glad as DH was convinced that the endowerment wouldnt pay out, his parents are crap with money. Last night we went out for tea with them to celebrate, I had steak which is a rare treat.
Today I'm going to wash the bedding as soon as DH gets out of ours, doesnt really need it cause it was changed in the week but I like to keep to my routine. Then its a quick tidy round and some more batch cooking to be done.
Breakie: Tea and Toast
Lunch: Beans on toast
Tea: Curry and Rice
Have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Morning!
Queenie - thats one little sweetheart you got there! Bless!
Im feeling really tired today, I had a decent nights sleep so I dont know whats wrong, maybe its the thought of going back to work on Monday! I like my job and it could be much worse, I think its just that im bored and working takes up so much time, id rather be doing something more fun I guess.
Today im going to start dismantling the bedroom and getting rid of the stuff I didnt do yesterday, and make a sc soup for work next week. Ive also got to do boyf's hair - he really needs a cut and wants some blonde bits in again. At least he trusts me and doesnt like hairdressers so its free! I got the highlighting kit with my boots points yesterday so im feeling pleased. I still havent quite talked my way out of this evenings do - I might text one of the girls shortly and tell her im not well or something.
This afternoon I might have my own day of beauty and take a long relaxing bath with a magazine I treated myself to, and do a face mask etc. Anyway, I suppose I should get on, ive got plenty to do!

Morning all
It's bright & sunny here in Berkshire. I took hubby to the station this morning by 6:30, went to Asda on the way back, I got a couple of the microfibre cloths to try out & got hubby a couple of pairs of their £3 jeans. The WM is on & the washing will go on the line soon. BM is also on and will be on all day, as I am making each of my kids a loaf of bread, as they are all coming over to see me tomorrow. I have one week left of my difficult lodger staying I know we need the money, but it's such hard work, last week I had to remind her about the rent, which I hate having to do. She also got stroppy with me for laughing at a Les Dawson 'Mother in Law' joke!
Hugs to spud & anyone else who needs them.

Morning everyone, like the new avatar PP,are you really green?! :rotfl:
Queenie, thanks for your pm.I had a really lovely card from my 10 yo son too,a poem that made me fill up.In fact all 3 brought home beautiful cards and I love them all.
I've got off to a really bad start to the weekend.Kids were bickering and arguing and Dd wasn't getting ready for ballet.Ds1 pushed her against the door and I completely lost it.I screamed and yelled at them all and worst of all-I can't believe I did this-I took all their lovely cards down and said I was going to bin them   I never intended to,I just wanted to make the point that if they love me enough to make lovely cards they should stop bickering and do as they're told.Anyway everyone ended up crying except OH who helpfully did nothing  I feel just terrible now,the worst mother in the world.I put the cards back and said I was sorry and that I didn't mean it and gave them all hugs but I still feel awful
So Mother's Day weekend in the house of Thrift not going too well so far,and I can't even blame it on pmt  Still I suppose things can only get better.0 -
I was up with the lark this morning, OH left for work at 6.30 & I didn't go back to sleep. I managed to resist the temptation to come on here (otherwise I'd still be sat here in my dressing gown on coffee no. 3) & cracked on. So far:
Dark load in the WM, browsed the Wagamama cookbook for something for a dinner (chicken ramen), wrote shopping list, shower, dressed, painted toe nails, washing on airer, DW on, greengrocers for fruit & veg (at 5 to 9, they never see me that early!) & Tesco (£6 off £40 spend voucher). After all that I thought I deserve another :coffee: and a quick MSE browse.
Next plan is whites in the WM & make a coffee & walnut cake, cos it's OH favourite. I'm not over-keen, but that means I won't scoff it all like a fat pig! (method in my madness)
Hope you all have a lovely weekend, whatever you are up to do.0 -
Nahhhhh.....thats my OH...LOL

If you read our thread PMS Challenge couldn't you stretch the truth a weeny bit and blame it on PMS ?After all, the only difference is a letter
Pre-Menstral-Stress - Pre-Menstral-Syndrome - Pre-Menstral-Tension all cause the same headache in my book.
((hugs)) Don't beat yourself up about it. You know you're not the worst mother in the world and bad days happen. Sending heaps of posi vibes your way and hoping your day grows better and better ((hugs))~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I watched Supernanny last night (don't usually) and a child called Mary Ann - now *that* would make everyone feel better about their children!!!!! I had to turn the volume down after just 2mins
Now, sounds to me that you need to drag out your pamper basket and take 20 minutes out "me-time" . If you don't have a pamper basket ... take 20 minutes out to decide what you'd like in one and how you'll achieve it!! Lock the bathroom door!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
