Feeling in a good mood - it's Friday, I've been paid and I've sent off an overpayment to the mortgage :j

Big posh house down the road from MIL is having a garage sale tomorrow, so can't wait to go and have a nosey through that in the morning. Had planned to wash the bedding today, but the weather has put paid to any chance of drying it outside. Typical - it starts to rain as soon as we're told we're getting a hosepipe ban from April!

DH treated us to fish and chips tonight - not very OS, but one large cod and chips is plenty between us, so not TOO extravagent :D

Haven't been keeping up with the threads or posting for ages sorry - don't know where time's going at the moment - hope everyone's ok.

Not a very OS day today - especially as I spent quite a bit on some makeup in boots but got the gift set and 406 points and a no7 voucher (and also spent money I got from my birthday 5 months ago but haven't spent yet so not too bad - I'll keep convincing myself ;)

Last night we had friends round (first time we've ever had friends round for a 'grown up' meal - the other 3 are all still students though ;) ) and it was homemade lasgne and I've made scones for friends and flapjack too recently so trying to be OS - work is busy and all over the place so I don't feel too bad.

This week is going to be OS cleaning and sorting weekend though - will try and post more

    'Morning everyone :hello:

Went to bed early last night (7.30) and I've slept through to 5 am and I feel so much better. I'm now sat huddled at the computer with my quilt tucked around me, having a lovely time reading OS.

I've been reading the teatime thread and being having a quiet chuckle (so as not to wake the rest of the household) as my late Mum, bless her, was not the best of cooks. She did try her best though. Money was awfully tight and the rare treat of a packet of Angel Delight had to go round 6 of us

My Granny's cooking was, however, sublime! The ultimate compliment I have received over the last year is that my roast lamb meals are just as good as my Granny and Grandad's. I can't let the standard slip now!

Breakfast: Oats, fruit and yoghurt (Thriftlady - I'm counting my yoghurt as 1 1/2 points, though I'm probably wrong!)
Lunch: probably a salad with tinned mackeral in tomato
Dinner: Don't really know - I'm going to try and get a free range chicken today so it will be stretched to 3 to 4 meals starting with being roasted.
Enjoying an MSE OS life :D

    Feeling much better this morning:j

1st load is on in WM and have a further 2 of bedding that didnt get done yesterday as not feeling well. DW needs emptying. Toilet has been cleaned. No cleaning/tidying to do. The bedding if dry will be hung outside.

Have quite alot of things to sort out this weekend incase I have to stay in hospital monday-so will try and get some bits organised for OH & DD.

Dinner was scrummy last night. OH did Scampi, HM chips and peas. Pudding was BS's fruit cobbler and custard. OH has just told me he got some chicken pieces out the freezer last night to do a chausseur in the SC today. We have some mushrooms, peppers, onions, spuds to use up.

    Anyways, best go.

    Breakie:Scrambled egg on toast
Lunch:Baked Spud with coleslaw and cheese
    Dinner:Chicken Chaussuer in SC

    Have a good day.

    PP

    Morning Everybody,

Its nice to be on here early for a change! Got woken up by DS coughing through the night, so might as well get up and sorted. I'm waiting in this morning for a grocery delivery from tescos, and will then sort the house out.

    Have a good day everyone.

P.S. Penny-Pincher - Glad to hear you are feeling better.

Morning everyone, must be the arrival of spring, but i slept well last night, off on a day out today with friends to chichester. Just had some porridge, out to Pizza express for lunch and have taken some minestrone soup out of the freezer for supper.

Got to a healthy weight, at weightwatchers this week, so am now a gold member, yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, started off as morbidly obese, so thats something to celebrate!

Got some bits finishing on e bay today, so hopefully a bit of cash coming in to clear a few debts and maybe treat myself to some new clothes.

    Hugs to everyone.
Glad to hear we are all feeling better, pp, and Am, Applemint and thiftlady, i often have oats and yogurt and fruit for breakfast, yummy, I also add a little crystalised ginger and a little of the syrup that it comes in, adds to it like a treat.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning All

Didn't have a great night with Spud. All was going well yesterday, had a nice morning at mother & baby class followed by coffee with a friend, had a nice home made lunch, got loads of housework done...then....thuackkkkk!! Folded up fireguard landed on Spuds head so had our 1st trip to A & E with a very unhappy little soilder! Already had conjunctvitis (Sp?) & a bit of a cold so was a very poor picture. No real harm done but a bit of a grumpy night, he is now tucked up besides hubby whilst I have 5 mins respite here:wink:

Today, if Spud is upto it, we are off to see my Mum with a home-planted herb pot for mothers day for here, will have a big lunch there so a light dinner, probably cheese on toast or somthing.

    Have a good day everyone:wave:
