Vendor removing fitted carpets!

I have just taken delivery of some fumigating chemicals to kill the carpet beetles in the fitted wardrobe carpet in the bedroom.
So i would be very glad for any vendor to take their bug ridden carpets with them.
Our main priority is now to remove and replace all carpets in the house. It's not paranoia if they really are after you.0 -
I would call their bluff. Tell your solicitor to thank them for the offer but you are planning to buy new carpets and they would be doing you a favour by removing them. I bet they leave them behind!0

Make a list of EVERY fixture and fitting, down to lightbulbs, all light fittings sockes, door handles, eveything.
You never know what they will take with them.
Make the list send it to them(Include the carpets if you want them) through the legal team and say sign or you walk.
As others have done we failed to take account of the damage when things go removed, lucky I found shelves that would fit the existing holes.
If you don't want the carpets let them take them out then view the house again and make a new offer based on what fix up is needed on the floors.
once the carpets have gone getting another buyer wlll be a big risk for them0 -
I think thats a tad over the top myself........Pawpurrs x0

Ever bought a house whre the vendor took the light fittings?
It does happen, takng light bulbs happens a lot.
Forgot to add any major garder plants, I have known people dig up stuff and take them.
Most times a verbal is fine but these vendors have shown their cards don't risk anything.0 -

Digging up the plants! Are you serious?0 -
The vendors of the house we are buying have said they want to take some plants, apparrently her mother (who has now died) planted them years ago.
I agreed to that, I don't really mind.

Well I suppose if someone said that to me I would say "OK" but whenever I have moved all I have taken is the furniture, crockery and cutlery and the clothes out of the wardrobes.0
