OS Daily Friday 27th March 09

Yay! dd(19) got some good news today that means that dd, her bf, dgs(4) and imaginary doggy friend Pippin can go home - big sis(23) going with to make sure she's all right and dd(12) already gone off with Mr Caring Sharing! OMG i have my bed, lappy and dongle back and am gloriously HOME ALONE!

Have been trying to teach dd to OS so hopefully some of it stuck but the house is a tip so am going to celebrate homealoneness with a blitz while listening to MY music ..... goodness I shall miss them :rolleyes:

LW...you will be fine on Sunday...as someone else said something like 'thank you all very much for your hard work, it is most appreciated' will be fine, nobody is expecting a ten page speech!

OMG, I've just had a call from my DAunt to say she's coming to stay for the w/end. I haven't seen her for over a year. She's bringing her new Beau. Got the call at 8pm, since then I have put away ironed clothes, made up, dusted and vacumed their bedroom. Scrubed the shower room, washed kitchen floor and put my paper work neatly in the study. Sheesh, didn't know I could move so fast.
I now have to think of what to do for meals for 6 instead of 4 as I have been doing meals for DD2&SiL2b as well as for me and DH. I had DGD today so DD2 could catch up on sleep.She continues to get even more beautifull by the day. DSiL2b collected her at 6.30 when he finished work and I miss her already.
CANDYGIRL, You wont belive the love that flows for a DGChild, you have that pleasure to come. Hope DD is soon going to be holding her baby seeing as she was due today.
We had my own made up recipe of meatloaf tonight, it was delicious said DH, I was quite suprised as to how tasty it was, well I enjoyed what I had because DAunt phoned whilst I was half way through dinner and didn't feel like finishing it as I was in a panic.
Anyhoooo, feel a bit more at ease so I've just poured myself a large glass of wine and think I'm gonna have another.
I'll catch up on today's posts tomorrow,,,,, hopefully.

Hi guys,

It's been a challenging few days and I am feeling quite sad at the moment. A card arrived through the door from the MRI staff totally unexpectedly, and it sent me from coping to crying. It was beautifuly worded and very thoughtful.:A

The counsellor has written to say that she is halting the sessions as DS1 is not willing to open up with her but that she will be available if she is needed any time in the future. :sad: I have found some more wee up there again and I suppose I will just have to grin and bear it and hope it fizzles out over time. I know not what else to do about it anymore.

OS wise my house is clean and tidy, washing up to date bar today's (not enough for a full wash) only half a pile of ironing as I tackled some of it on Wednesday, the garden is tidy but I want to potter some more on Sunday as the weather isn't promising for tomorrow. We had BBQ pork chops, baked spuds and veg for tea with enough left for tomorrow.

After cleaning up this morning I have spent the day setting up the new lappy and I am hugely impressed with it. It's like a million times faster than the other one and I have sorted out the other for the kids to use with their games. The PC has finally died, I had some pointers from a guy at work who will be coming to have a look at it at some point (more OS than calling someone - but I haven't told him so!) and will have a potter with it in the morning.

What a lovely lot you are. Yes, I'm hale & hearty but just a bit bruised & battered emotionally atm. Long story - but I generally keep things to myself & just get on with it. I just get very quiet. Promise I'll try and do better. Marie - I read your txt this morning. Your such a sweety. I couldn't reply as my phone only works in OZ.

DS2 is coming down sometime this week & staying for 7 - 9 days. I'll call him tonight to find out the details. I made a couple of batches of soup this week. Finished my cook book & worked in the garden. The really hot weather has gone so it's been lovely.

Tired Mum I'm afraid I would do what Floss suggested. That is a lot of damage & expense. He should be held more accountable at his age. A duvet, computer & lamp. :rolleyes: I'd ban him from your bedroom for starters.

smokeybabe <hugs> I think thats the only thing you can do now. Hopefully time will be a good healer & the widdling will eventually stop.
