Afternoon all...............(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))0 if you need one.

We were off to the allotment this morning, I have turned over the spud bed and also did some tidying in the flower bed....OH messing about tidying up around the shed.....we have just had our lunch, poached eggs on toast.

As I was going out this morning I noticed that one of the plants had disappeared from the window cill in the porch!!!! These plants were bought for the unit by the chief housing officer, so actually belonged to the unit.

I hate to say this, but there were a lot of stangers in the building yesterday after Gwens funeral, her family held the wake in the communal sitting room. The plants were there when we went out just after lunch yesterday..........this morning one missing.

Not aiming to do much this afternoon, need to conserve my strength for next week. Not sure when we will get to the allotment again, I brought the picnic chairs back, so we have something to sit on at the new house before they move the furntiure in 10 days time.

Its a bit of a funny day, does not seem to be able to decide what its doing, it was bright and sunny, then we had a sharp shower of rain and now the sun is out again, clouds scudding across the sky.......

Fish tonight, no chips OH had them earlier this week. I did a large cauli and calebrese gratin last night and there is some left so I will do mash and the rest of the gratin, possibly some mustard sauce............
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Afternoon all,

Windy and showery here to-day, OH decided that it is too cold for him to do anything in garden so he is cooking dinner to-day instead. We are having hm burgers and I would guess oven chips and salad....lots of stuff in greenhouse so cheapest veg there is.

Have done nothing to-day except have breakfast and lunch and sleep...having slight palpitations for some reason, so will go to doctor on Monday, need to have new prescription for my meds anyway...think that it is all to do with the depression, which lingers in spite of meds, want to do things but can't be bothered getting of my a**e...kick might be useful and can always rely on doc to do the needful!

Hugs to Mudgekin and anyone else suffering from any pain for any reason....Sybil are you eating properly??

Love it when someone rants, makes me feel that maybe everybody except me has perfect children! Also very good therapy I think.

    Ladymay...good luck with new man....

Have texted Aussie but of course only then realised that it is the middle of the night on Lamb Island!

    Have a good day all

    Afternoon all

Home from work now, TGIF. Been a long tiring week this week.

Really tired today anyway as slept very badly last night - just couldn't stop OH snoring and was getting more and more frustrated as I watched the clock go round. Was still reading at 3.00 a.m. and we get up for work at 4.50, so there is a good chance that I might nod off now that I have sat down.

Have dashed around tidying up, wiping floors, putting dw on, putting bm on, and sorting out washing since I got in so now am going to sit and try to catch up with everyone's news with a coffee.

Hope everyone is having a good day. ((((((Hugs)))))) to all who need them or feeling down.

Meanmarie - :o rumbled but I have had a good breakfast. And really, I'm not likely to go down the plug hole any time soon... I do hope you feel okay, palpitations are actually scary, and I hope it is cleared up soon.

Little bear had cheese on toast, which I like for him, as I think there is a lot of good in there, followed by pear. Fish & chips tonight from the chippy.

Little bear is allegedly having a nap. All is quiet on the monitor apart from the sound of turning pages. Until all goes completely calm, I am not starting anything! Then small bursts of the kitchen.

MoneySavingDiva - hugs to you - you are being such a good friend to Tristan.

Hugs to all for over the weekend.

    Afternoon peeps

well after spending the morning in agony i managed to get in at the dentists and i`m now toothless :D well not completely just the offending tooth, the dentist did want to try a root filling but tbh i know so many people who have had them fail i just didn`t want to risk it, i`m almost £50 lighter now  hopefuly when the anesthetic wears off everything will be hunky dory.

Wmf - ((((HUGS)))) and snuggles for your little doggie, i hope her leg is better soon. One of ours struggles with his legs and every now and again he tries to do things that he used to be able to do and can`t seem to understand why everything dosen`t work as well as it used to.

    Beemuzed - :hello:

Halight - i`ve been making my own wine for a while now and its great, i found the recipe on another thread and thought that i would have a go and never looked back, Mr Sunny prefers it to any other now - probably cos it`s a lot stronger :D if you search for posts by jennyjelly the wine one is there.

Tired mum - ((((HUGS)))) i hope that everything sorts itself out, i think that Squiggly& Tru`s advice definitely needs following :D

    Mummysaver - Great news :j

Mrs Tittlemouse - I really wish i could find a dentist like yours, he must really be worth his weight in gold.

Nimbo - after reading your post i`m so glad that i opted to have the tooth out, this dentist isn`t exactly the gentlest of creatures, i did wonder if my neck was going to snap with all the yanking to get the tooth out.

Noahspennilessmummy - Aw sorry that your Birthday didn`t go better, i would set aside another day for your birthday celebrations instead when things are a bit better, be like the queen and have two :D

Lamewolf - Good luck, i am sure that the blue kittens will be purring happily should they appear :D

Well thats the ironing gone down the tubes as i`ve been catching up on here so i`d best get the meal plan and shopping list done for next week as Mr Sunny is shopping later, i can`t for the life of me remember whats for tea but i fancy wedges - spicy ones too so i`m off for a poke around in the cupboards.

    Have a nice afternoon peeps.

Well I've done most of my jobs, kitchen needs a bit more attention, but I'll do it whilst we do dinner I think, if I hand everyone a microfibre cloth and tell them all to get wiping it should be done in 10 mins!

Got to the bank to get some money and found that I had no id whatsoever on me, nitwit! Thankfully the cash machines now seem to have higher limits, so all was not quite lost, then trotted off to pay assorted workmen for various jobs they've done. Also nipped into the new charity shop, how excited was I to find a new one, and it supports a local hospice so the prices aren't silly like they seem to have become in the BHF sadly. Anyway I bought a selection of cook books and a couple of books for me to read, including a Jo Brand one about men in history, so I'm hoping that it'll make me giggle before bed! Also got a book written from a child's perspective about the war and life on Guernsey - thought dd1 would like it, she's really into history. Looking forward to browsing the cookbooks in front of the telly tonight, sure I heard an ad for Poirot the other night!

Whilst I was over in Cheddar I had to grab ds from school, he'd been sick apparently - it's not that I'm not sympathetic, actually I'm not really, it's more that I don't believe he was really ill, he's very good at making himself sick! Think he was slightly put out to find that I'm not going to let him go to work tomorrow, and he needs to swap shifts, and that he isn't going out to watch the concert his mate's organised tomorrow night either! That reminds me, I shall have to get his dinner money back since he obviously wouldn't have eaten as he felt soooooo sick!

Dinner tonight has morphed from Mexican to Indian - at dd3's request! Usually she moans about curry, but tonight she has requested it! Nice and easy anyway, will do quorn and chickpea curry, veg curry and a lentil dhal, chappatis, pilau rice and onion bhajees. If that lot doesn't bring my appetite back I don't know what will!

    Hugs to all xx

  • Afternoon Ladies(and gentlemen). I hope this finds everyone well. We are rubbing along as usual. My DW has been working away this month and although she has had a fantastic time(and a great opportunity that may well lead to further chances to shine) we will both be glad when its next Thursday when she is *properly* home.
I am of course doing all the cooking. When she gets home:j its nice to have time to chat over a meal that's done rather than chat whilst cooking it.
Tonight I am not sure what I will be doing as we don't have a clear idea of when she will be back and also she has hurt her mouth:confused: Only Mrs Catman could do this- she was eating some Doritos and managed to push one into her gum and split it. This has caused a lot of bleeding and a swollen gum! So I was thinking perhaps a nice fish pie.

Also I am sure that you are all thinking "why doesn't he get to the point and ask whatever he wants us to help him with":rotfl: Yes of course I am going to throw myself on your knowledge and goodness:rotfl: I bought a celeriac and then realised that I have no idea what to do with it:o Its huge and knobbly(but of course you know that:o ) Any ideas?

Other than that I have cleared lots of small jobs round the house and also had the great joy of having the bed to myself! Its ok for a short time but I will be glad to get her home(if only to warm my feet on!) Seriously the house has seemed far too quiet and still. Roll on Thursday.

I hope everyone is well and that life is treating everyone well. I am going to make the fish pie now. I think the emulsion in the kitchen will now be dry.
Thank you for all the help and advice you give me, its like having hundereds of sisters on tap(without the Christmas presents to buy:rotfl: ) Enjoy your evening whatever you have planned.

What a lovely chap you are! I'm off to shout at Sale Sharks - hopefully they are going to beat Barth......but judging by the last couple of games, I'm not holding my breath

Haven't got much OSing done today......entertained the gas man - again - and have another "date" with him next Friday! Did do all the washing up, wiped the kitchen, 2 loads of washing, tidied up, emptied the bins, stardropped the bathroom & changed the towels & mats, made the bed, some paperwork, rang DS2 to say "happy 21st birthday", went to PO with an ebay return, made my breakfast, lunch & pack-up to take out with me, browsed MSE...... actually, it looks as though I've done quite a bit!

That's probably it from me until next week....am going off to OH's riverside apartment in sunny Cardiff tomorrow for a few days :p;):D

    Love & hugs to all
