  • Morning everyone,it's blowing a gale here today,I can't even open the windows as I live on a corner and everything is swirling around and blowing straight in.
Now that my septic throat has gone down(are'nt antibiotics wonderful) I feel so much better if not a lot washed out and I've taken to supping cough mixture as I have the most horrendous cough but it feels good to be alive once more,so for that I'm grateful.
wannabe I hope you feel better soon and so glad to hear little bear already is.
WMF I hope you little dog improves
Tiredmum you rant away,it does you good.I'm sure we've all been there at sometime.Give yourself a treat. You deserve it.
moggins good luck on the job front
sunnyday sorry to hear your tooth is playing up again.I had the same problem about 8 years ago and kept getting an abcess on a tooth that had had a root canal.I was told that nothing could be done by my dentist but take it out.As it was a canine tooth I did'nt want to loose it so I went elsewhere.I still have that tooth and it's totally painless.I found a young dentist who actually cleaned out the root from above tooth. This needed to have the gum cut into and although I had two stitches they were fine too and I think it was worth it as I have a totally painfree tooth.I got it done NHS and only had to pay for the sedation.Worth a try.
Well I hope everyone has a good day and the weather is'nt too bad for you.
(((hugs))) to all that need them and I hope all the poorly feel better soon.
    Take care.......

    Morning all
PLEASE LOOK AWAY NOW AS THIS IS NOT OS BUT I AM GOING INTO RANT MODE......

    :grouphug:

Why not set your family the following tasks:

    1. Research how much it will cost to get your Mac book repaired /replaced
    2. Source & cost a new light fitting - to match the others
    3. Source a new duvet & cover
    4. Work out how many hours of unpaid work in the home the kids need to do to pay for 1,2 & 3 above.

While you have a cup of tea & check your insurance policy re accidental damage to the light & Mac book.

    Love Floss x

..........Anyway today I'm grinning like a Cheshire cat, after the all scary stuff earlier this week it's ending on a high........

......then off to Bournemouth for a birthday party. Not sure how that one's going to go, my ex will be there and I haven't seen him for quite a while.

Re-read the top bit, your smile will still be there and then just be polite to your ex, ask how he is, how's life, while wearing a slightly "I'm only asking to be polite" expression......it infuriates them!

Well thank god its Friday - this week has been a long hard week. Think kidney infection is on the turn but have burning the candles at both ends and am exhausted. So instead of trying to catch up today am ignoring
    • Housework
    • Ironing Pile
    • Paperwork mountain.
(if people speed read this they may think that is my to do list:rotfl: )

and instead am going to chill, catch up on my sleep & make myself better.

Have loads of stuff sky+ so will catch up with that instead - will cook dinner tonight but its chicken stir fry so nice and easy.

So thats me for today - have a good one whatever you are doing.
    x

(before I get chucked off the board - please note that old styleness will be restored next week - I promise ;) )

............. The teen trus will leave all their washing in a heap on their bedroom floors, then pinch our socks because they have no clean ones  And they pinch quick sprays of our perfume/aftershave

How about just locking them into a suitcase under the bed? It will totally confuse them if they can't find what they want!

    Good morning everyone :D

It's my day off :j I was awake bright and early due to all the noise being created by the windy weather. I settled in to read a few cook books :D

OH has got the car out, ready for me to take off this afternoon if I feel like it. I could do with a few ring files to file my recipes in .. at the moment they are stacked in a pile. The ironing pile is calling to me, so I'll try and cut that down by half.

I have two freezers full of food, so I'm going on a freezer challenge over the next few weeks to get it down to one before we go on holiday in June. This way I'll have a free freezer to fill with this year's blackberries, apples and plums in :D What I save on shopping I plan to put away for our holiday spending money.

Big, big (((hugs))) to those who are down or under the weather

    Have a lovely OS day

not eaxctly old style chores, but today i have to research an essay that i am going to write tomorrow... so i see lots of googleing on work time...

we were going to the pub for lunch, and are now going to the chippy, which will cost all of £1.20....

i did a load of shopping last night so i have stocked up cheap (and nice) wine, and have got some cheats mash for tea... (i knew i was going to be busy tonight) so i will have a quick anf easy dinner, while i work...

i will get a load of washing on when i get in, and maybe change and wash all te sheets as well depending on the forecast tomorrow... (that's a bit more OS, but i have concluded that if i treat the essay like i do the hosework and break it all down and schedule it in then i may actually get it done...)

big hugs to all, and good luck in not needing to bury children...
RE the toothache, i had a pain like that after a root canal, which i was talked into at thw ownderful cost of £500:eek:   , and the pain did suside after a month or so.... (not that i would have gone back if it didn't, as i HATE dentists the reason it was so much in the first place was because they had to knock me out for it...)

  • Morning everyone

Well my birthday turned into a bit of a nightmare as DS had one of his meltdowns for an hour or two:rolleyes: so I told them the birthday was finished then as I had had enough of it:mad:
He seems unable to cope with special ocassions at all and gets overwrought and explodes so we have to play it all down in future I think.....yes it will take away most of the fun but will avoid the meltdowns;)
Today isn`t going right either:rolleyes: had a big day of cleaning house and organising planned.....OH now off work in bed with migrane and DS woke v early....has had sore chapped lips for a few days, has woken with sores which are bleeding so he is going to docs so no school today:eek: ......maybe that is why he has been a bit off this week:think: he cant tell you these things so you dont always work it out straight away.

Ladymay glad things went well with the bloke, enjoy it:smileyhea
DonnyGal I totally agree but it isnt just the letters it is the whole paperwork situation . As a nurse the amount of paperwork is completely over the top. Some of our patients only stay for a couple of hours but you have to fill in about 20 forms on top of cannulating them, taking blood, giving IV`s etc and of course reassuring and caring ( a nurses job which seems to get forgotten these days)
Tiredmum Rant away:T I think we all have days when we feel like that.....I had one yesterday!......sometimes they just dont realise the amount we do

    :hello: Good morning!

    Aussielass, where are you?

Big ((((HUGS)))) to all who are ill or fed up.

    ladymay :j :T :j :T

A bit annoyed this morning, DH has had a bad cough for over a month and despite having a course of antibiotics for a chest infection is still coughing and it still sounds just the same, so I tried to get an appointment for him to have his chest listened to again, but couldn't even get put through to the surgery - the automated system just said "We apologise. The Surgery is experiencing high call volumes" (of course it is, that's because everyone has to try to get through at 8.00 to have any hope of an appointment!) "Please ring again at a less busy time." And a fat lot of good that would be:mad:

I'll see if he fancies going to the Urgent Care Centre at the hospital and sitting around for hours

Today I must, must, must clean the bathroom - will ask DH or DS to take the hoover upstairs for me. The WM is on with its second load of DS's stuff, which I'm hoping will dry outside.

Dinner will be the biryani I didn't make yesterday:D
