I didn't get an email but I have managed to find my details on the site under "customer services" so I know it went through.
Doesn't show whether I get the gift though.

Be careful with this one...the offer states that you get a quarterly subscription + free lip pack for £7.20 plus 1 quarterly subscription for £1.

My details on-line say that the payment will be for £1.
So I don't think you are reading it right.

We will take your first direct debit payment on 18/04/2006 The payment schedule will be:
1 payments of # 1.00
thereafter payments of # 7.20 to be taken every 3 Months

It's just the wording, it doesn't mean you only get the gift once you have paid £7.20. I have had lots of subscriptions that are worded like this. It simply stating that it is only the first DD which will be charged at £1 and not subsequent ones.

Just had an e-mail to say they have run out of gifts!! what a cheek, That also happened with another of the mags I ordered! they say I can cancel if I wish, still thinking about it.
Why does it take them so long to realise they have run out of gifts? :mad:

I got the "we're out of stock do you wanna cancel" mail too... So sent a very miffed letter to them saying yup and this is terrible advertising for them to offer somethign and then due to poor plannign from their side not give it. I shall for one never buy Elle again!

Cancelled mine as well. I know it was only a pound but it can add up and I wouldn't have subscribed without the additional freebies incentive!

Hopefully, they will offer a decent sub next month and I'll get in a bit quicker!
