Sorry to self reply, but I've just dug out the original "ticket", and it states at the top "Parking Enforcement Notice Railway Byelaw 14". Does this Railway Byelaw 14 section actually make it more enforcible?

Do they mention magistrates court, who do you have to pay the "fee" directly to the parking company?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Then it's a private ticket, and can be ignored.

Yep, it's a fake Railway Byelaws ticket, pretty common scam but not something they'll dare want to put before a judge.

Have fun with your PPC baiting, I like your style! :T

Since posting, I've read elsewhere that if GW/Roxburge/APCOA dared to take this to court (which they won't) they'd be in a hell of a lot more trouble than I would be- faking a Byelaw ticket is apparently a quite serious offence.

I'm looking forward to the letter from the the people who "buy" the debts later. My response will be along the lines of

"I'm sorry to have to inform you that APCOA have sold you a debt that is not mine and never has been. I suggest that you contact them to get your money back. I wish you all the best in your action against APCOA and its associates" :D

A new deveopment- I went on the radio this morning to discuss the tactics of PPCs- they were having a phone-in about the new laws restricting clampers. It was on Radio Jackie, whose catchment area happens to include West Byfleet. Although I wasn't able to name GW or Roxburghe on air, I did say that a company working out of West Byfleet was behind the scam, and explained the letter chain. I didn't use my real name- it may spoil my fun with GW. The presenters suggested that this was purely extortion, and I agree. It seems by pure chance that the media are once again turning on the cowboys at this time.

I'm just hoping that one of the bods who work in the Roxburge offices may have been listening on the way to work :D
• If I were you, or any user, I would e-mail Steve Dargonne, who hides behind unanswered phones at Roxburghe and give him something to think about. He is: sdargonne@roxburghe.com Send as many as you like!

Ask him if he's the same Steve Dargonne who used to have a proper job as a Midland Bank Manager in Sussex! I believe he is.

• i had my ticket back in Dec 09. Excel was the company. Googled them and your site and decided not to pay. Just had my 2nd Graham White solicitors and my husband and sister tried to persuade me to pay up !!! Not likely :rotfl:, I just showed them this thread and they too are now vigilanties against these private parking scams.. :T It's the people who have been clamped I feel sorry for.....:(

Anyway will continue to ignore, but I did contact them using the template after my 1st solicitor letter,.. wish I hadn't now.

How do you get in touch with reporting them to legal bod's and DVLA?
