The "real" Graham White are aware of this second company. In fact there is a disclaimer on their website disassociating themselves from the scam company.

Surely, the scam company are not allowed to continue there trading using another's firms name??

I can't open a shop called 'Tesco' so how come these scammers have got away with it? Or have they scammed Trading Standards as well as the unknown!

The "real" one is called "Graham White & Co". The scam one is called "Graham White Solicitors".That's the difference

So, could I open a shop called Tesco Co?

    Think it's wrong.

Had letters off these people in the past, ignored there empty threats, guess what, still no court summons!

    Hello!!

    1st time poster here!!

I've just got a Roxburghe letter, exactly the same as everyone else's. The allegation was some sort of trumped-up violation in an APCOA car park. I've fired off a template based letter to them- I know I could ignore it, but I'm actually quite enjoying this. I'm secretly hoping that Sobell will phone me, but as my number is ex-directory, I don't think he will.

I'm tempted to write to the "real" Graham White solicitors an inform them that a scam artist is using a very similar name. Advisable or not??

To be honest APCOA have done themselves no favours- I used to send upwards of £900 a year in their direction for daily parking, their behaviour has just meant that I'm now parking at the council multi-storey up the road, and that's also cheaper. I've converted about 10 other commuters to this too, so APCOA have lost just short of £10,000 annually, all for the sake of a £90 "penalty".

That is just sooooo satisfying!!! :rotfl:

Well done. Also pass it on to your mates and mates of mates and friends and family too.

Perhaps the next move could be a advert stating not to pay these crazy people claiming they are 'fines' when they are simply a unenforceable invoice ;)

This from the "Contact Us" page of the "real" Graham White website:-

We are in no way connected with Graham White Solicitors or Roxburgh Debt Collectors.

Yay!!! Got my Graham White letter today. My goodness they used cheap paper :D I've now fired off a Denial of Debt letter to them, as well as a polite but firm "put up or shut up" letter to APCOA, using some of the commonly used templates. APCOA sent me a letter a couple of days ago enclosing a "copy of the letter we sent to you in May". The original letter never arrived, and there was nothing enclosed this week LOL. Methinks it never existed.

Will this be the last I hear, I wonder?

The best advise would have been to not reply even with a denial of debt letter, since you have confirmed your existence to the PPC, sorry Graham White, they might try and pester with some more letters

I know the real solid advice is to ignore everything, but I'm having a bit of fun with this- plus they're wasting their time and resources sending me the letters!!

Don't think they'll phone- my number is ex-directory, not available on any 118 service, signed up to the TPS and hasn't appeared on any correspondence.

But if they do, I'll just tell them I know they're Roxburghe and ask them to add to their log "when they phoned as GW, the caller refused to speak to them"
