DVLA won't do anything because they have been paid their 'share' - but if you have a moment then complain anyway. The more people who complain to the DVLA about them selling your details to scammers, the more this will show up on DVLA stats as a common complaint. I know some MPs are calling for the DVLA to be stopped from selling this info to private companies.

I received a £30 parking ticket on the 14/07/2010 for apparently parking for more than 2hrs in victoria passage in wolverhampton! there is no time limit displayed and when another member of elite management appeared he said the time limit is 1.5hrs! seems to me the staff havnt a clue. I refused to pay the ticket , 1mth later i then received a letter from roxburghe debt collectors, 1 wk later i then received a letter from graham white solicitors requesting £207, notice they both have literally the same address & only 1 digit diferent on tel number which tells me graham white & roxburgh are the same people!

can any1 tel me what has happened to them after this stage also I assumed they couldnt take me to court as how can they prove the timeframe I was parked for when their are no official clocks in site!

Completely ignore them as the ticket is not enforceable and they won't go anywhere near a court with you.

The roxburgh and graham white are the same people, its well known that GW are used by roxburgh because we have seen internal emails citing that they have called people using the graham white guise.

They are a bunch of lying scammers, please ignore and make sure all your family and friends know its a scam as well.

They are the same people. You invoice is spurious - it could be asking for £207 because there is an r in the month.

No, I bet they are perfecting a 'special' love letter (threatogram) for you right now - oh no, scrub that, they don't have a template for anything else so it will just be their standard Graham White templates with a 21 day gap between them.

Two GW letters (which definitely just come from Roxburghe) then that's it, scam over.:)

Just a thought. Has anyone complained to First Great Western (in instances where it is their car park that the fines are being issued in). There is a specific issue in Twyford carpark where there are two sets of markings for the same spaces and you get the letter trail if you are missaligned with one of sets. It has made the local press but I'm still getting the letters. : ) It stikes me that these scammers are working on behalf of FGW and whilst you would expect this sort of behaviour from companies like APCOA FGW should be a little bit more worried about what is being done in their name.... just off to try and find a complaint address.....

Yes, it's always worthwhile using a stamp or two to make complaints to the train companies/retailers who let this sort of protection racket take place on their land.

The more complaints the better, especially to retailers where you can say they've lost your business due to the scam and threats that they seem to think it's OK to worry their own customers with.

First timer yer! This is outrageous that these companys can get away with this! I have never been bullied like this before.

My story is much like all others - parked over my parking bay line at Moreton in Marsh railway station in Nov 09. Decided to refuse to pay on grounds that the fine was "disproportinate"....decided to do this after hearing Martin Lewis on Jeremy Vine Radio 2 show and used his template wording when i wrote to Apcao.

Also asked Apcoa to clarify what legal status is carried by their "BYLAW 14" in letter I sent in feb 2010. I rec'd no further contact from Apcoa.

30Jul letter from Roxburgh and telephone call to contact them (was away on hols)

12Aug letter from Graham White demanding I pay £115 and if not the letter stated a notice of "intended litigation before legal proceedings to the County Court" quoting additional costs of £207.25.....it goes on to state several threatening terms..."Register of Judgements...remaining for 6yrs.....instruct bailiffs to attend your address who are authorized to seize goods...." Am now over my 14 days they gave me to respond.

I rang the law society about this as I believe the original fine of £50 was not legal. had no joy.

I have also emailed BBC WATCHDOG which I think everyone should do....we need to get these rogues exposed!!! I will contact the Jeremy vine show also. If I have the energy I may even write to my MP.

I have had sleepless nights over this despite my decision to make a stand - I almost wobbled and payed the £115 yesterday just to put my mind at rest as I am fearful of these threats.
