16th November seems promising. I'll make it my business to be there.

I'm all in favour of hiring Graham White & Co of Bushey, Herts to fight our case!!

(Love the way theat the cut n paste from the FGW website has turned the "D" from Didcot Parkway into a smiley!!)
  • Good stuff. I will be there on the 15th at Twyford to meet the manager and see what they have to say.

I'll also contact Graham White & Co of Bushey to see if they have an appetite for taking this on and what sort of costs may be incurred : )

adc12840.... mail me at angry.bloke@hotmail.co.uk with some contact details. Lets have a chat.

Has anyone with a letter from Gtahma White Solicitors ever called them ?...Just been reading the thread...and yes, I just got a letter from them today !

I phoned them Judd. I spoke to a lady called Monica - very frosty too, might I add. I ended up putting the phone down on her. I then phoned a few days later and spoke to a young man (can't recall his name) - I had a nice conversation with him; told him that I wasn't going to pay, to stop writing to my partner (whose car I had borrowed on the said day of parking!) then advised him that he was a lovely young chap, enquired why he was working for a scam, jumped up company and suggested he go and get a real job !!! lol - I was polite, of course.

By the way all, I won - I may have mentioned this before, but will mention it again, for those of you who are new to this website. DO NOT PAY. My parents left me a blank cheque to pay this because they felt it was their fault that they had forgot to take the blue disability badge with them. They were worried sick. I wasn't. I can't go into too much detail but Graham White and Roxburgh ARE under investigation at the moment. If you do get a phone call from Graham White then ask where they got the number from, if they state the DVLA then contact the DVLA and complain because it is against the law (data protection) to give out personal information. I promise anyone who is worried about this, that nothing will happen to you. Either just ignore them (which is the absolute best way to go) - I wish I had found this website before I contacted them, or if you have already contacted them, just now ignore everything they send to you; do not worry and enjoy life ! :j

    Please Note:

Before you go firing a blank you'd better make sure that you are writing to the correct Graham White, solicitors. The Graham White that is of interest is based in West Byfleet not Bushey. The Hertfordshire company has no links with the company of interest and it is a mere coincidence of name. The West Byfleet "firm" is essentially a sole-practitioner and is based in Lavender Road only a short distance from the offices of Roxburghe's - the debt collectors. As far as the full address is concerned putting "Graham White" and "West Byfleet" together and Google will soon be your friend.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com
  • Well, I got them to back down having issued the final warning letter! My situation may have been a little unusual in the sense that APCOA had actually painted new lines on the Twyford carpark without removing the old ones which no longer lined up. If you lined up with the wrong lines you got a ticket. I’m aware several people got caught. To cut a long story short after having my appeal rejected I took the advice of the forum and never communicated with APCOA or the debt collectors or their solicitors. What I did do was contact the local press. They put the story on the front page of the local newspaper. I also put some pressure of FGW pointing out that they had put a bunch of cowboys in charge of their car park and I considered it FGW’s problem. This was picked up by one of their customer panel and to be fair to them they sorted it. I got a letter of apology for APCOA last week….. so, if you have been caught specifically by this issue get in touch with FGW through the customer penal and they should sort (google First Great Western complaints and you will find the link)

That's a brilliant example of the right sort of complaints to the right people (the press and the landowner/occupier) whilst rightly ignoring the PPC scammers.

Very well done for getting it on the front page of the paper, can you give us a link or tell us which local paper and what the headline said so we can find an online link please?

I've been contacted by our local police station after we put a complaint in about this bunch of chancer's, the very nice w.p.c. has passed everything on to our forces fraud squad to see if there is anything they can do. She is on nightshift this coming week but she wants to come and interview us, she also looking for more people in our area that have received demands for money from these people. I asked my oh to tell the police about this site and pepipoo and I believe she has visited as she is also a big fan of Martins :rotfl:

Well done you for getting the Police involved.

It would be worth printing off each of the chain letters the companies send - details in the sticky thread.

The locksmith that was prosecuted on Watchdog last week was done under a new law that basically applied if the business used a systematic process to defraud customers
