My girlfriend and I went travelling and while we were away we thought all our accounts were in credit. After 15 months of travelling we had charges of £900.00 for being overdrawn with barclays, this was 3 years ago.
Has soomeone had similar and sorted it.

Hi there, Im new to this so any help would be appreciated.
I have just sent the 'Data Protection Act Request -- Letter - List of charges' letter to my banks but Im not sure in what order I need to start the process on the 'http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=33' list of letters? Have I sent the right one first as this letter was fourth on their list?
Anyway the Nationwide did alot of back of the room whispering before finally accepting the letters (I have two accounts) but only accepted one fee and Barclays had their manager straight on the phone to me wanting to save me the ten pounds and making out he didnt understand the letter at all!
Many thanks0 -
that prepaid card is not suitable for me sorry.
it seems this is fine for people who have no problems opening new bank accounts but for people who cant or can only get very basic accounts, the cons probably outway the gains. My £200 overdraft limit which I probably use every month I cant simply just lose it.0 -
I have just had an acknowledgment of service from lloyds tsb saying they are going to defend this claim.
is this right? has anyone else had this through the post? LOVE LIFE PROCEED & PROGRESS0 -

This is normal. You may get to the stage where you recieve an allocation questionnaire to fill in and send back to the courts. This usually incurs additional fees but these can be added on to your claim. Some banks wait until this has happened before settling in full (they want to cause you maximum hassle but won't actually go to court when it comes down to it.
Good luck - let us know how you get on.0 -

Not entirely sure - haven't seen one myself. A search on consumeractiongroup.co.uk forums should give you some info on it. I think it's just additional information about the claim after the defendant has lodged their defence.0 -
