You should find the address for the head office of the bank in the UK, sending it to your local branch could slow things down as they probably have to send it to HO anyway. Who are you claiming from?

Hi, I am claiming from Natwest Bank, do you also know if there is an accompaning letter that i should send with it?:j

There are several places from where the letters can be taken, but I personally have used those templates on CAG. Here you will find all the letters you will need, starting with the Preliminary Approach for Repayment, giving them 14 days to comply.
Littlewoods catalogue - won back charges of £300 by default.

wedgewood, have a look on the consumer action group website - there're boards dedicated to every bank.

  • Hi,

Just wanted to know, i have all the statements for the time in which i was charged, but want to know if i still need to send the DPA letter to the bank for them?

    any help is appreciated

    thanx in advance
  • No, if you have all the information you need just go on to step two and put in your claim, good luck.
  • Do you ask for charges and the interest they charge on the charge - on statements they list charge and straight underneather they list interest or are they allowed to charge you for being overdrawn ?

In theory you can claim back the interest charged on the charges. However, separating this from the interest on the overdrawn sum which they are entitled to charge can be extremely difficult and seldom ammounts to very much anyway.

If you go to Consumer Corner they will guide you every step of the way, they are extremely helpful.
