Hiya,
Thanks for all the good luck messages on the romance front :T they've actually brought tears to my eyes because my day has ended up not as nice as I'd hoped....
Felt very good after I'd spent a while in the gym, went to have a shower, scrubbing under my armpits and...there's a lump, about the size of a pea, in my armpit. I have to ring my doctor's first thing tomorrow to get an appointment because apparently they didn't have anything today.
My rational side is telling me I'm 23, fit and healthy, look after myself fairly well, and that it's a cyst. My irrational side is convinced there's something wrong. The bit in between is steadily reminding me that bancer of the breast and lymph nodes runs in my family (my nan, aunty and mum have all had one or the other)
I'm really sorry to put a downer on you guys, I just feel quite panicky.

Nic, I think the soup will be fine, in fact it will probably taste better than normal, enjoy x
I used to LOVE mork and Mindy, what a great programme, why don't they put it back on ??
Hugs to Ruthie b, and your MIL xx
Just been up to the beach with little dog, my goodness was it cold  , had a quick run for 10 mins then home, but at least she got to stretch her little legs.
Had fish pie for tea, which was delish, and I managed to get all my jobs done today including the painting :T , so a well deserved rest tonight.
Yesterday I got some Haslett in a local shop, a huge packet for £1.50, OH loves it in a sandwich I know its pork but dont think I really want to know whats in it, they also had ham hocks for around £1.50 - £2.00, so will go and get one next week.
Oooo I have just noticed I have another star, get me
Have good evenings all, Candy nice to see you posting, hope your dd is ok xx0 -
Ladymay,
Hugs to you sweetie, get yourself to the Dr tomorrow, I am sure its nothing to worry about, but best to get it checked, I found one in my breast last year, so i know how scared you are right now, thankfully mine turned out to be harmless, and I am sure yours will too bigs hugs and kisses xx0 -
Ladymay don't panic too much but if you ring in the morning and they tell you there are no appointments again tell them why you need to be seen. You should be seen under a two week referral system (2 weeks from seeing GP to hospital) Don't take no for an answer tomorrow. I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and saying a little prayer. xxx"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"
Dieting ........... is no piece of cake!!!!:D

Ladymay :grouphug: :grouphug: Big, big hugs to you hun. Get an appointment first thing in the morning & get it checked out. I'll say some prayers tonight & keep you in my thoughts xxxxxxxxx0

Ladymay - this isn't medical advice, just my experience. Yes, that sounds exactly like a cyst I also got under my arms. The antibiotics they gave me made me feel like a dog's dinner. However I preferred that to the infected cyst on my ladybits!
I hope that has raised a small smile - it is so frightening to find these things and really hard to wait until you can see someone. I recommend chocolate.
Whatever it is, the GP will be able to help. And no matter how bad it is, posting on here gives anyone a head start. Good luck.
Well, dear heart decided he didn't want tea tonight, but that was okay because he gave me two hours notice which was great. Little bear wasn't that hungry either. Dear heart is out, little bear is in bed. I ought to be doing Things. But I'm not. I think tonight is 'do nothing night'.

Evening all!
Hugs to all who want/need them, and especially to Ladymay!
I found a pea sized lump in my breast one night several years ago - you know in your logical mind that it is almost certainly a cyst, but in your emotional mind, you are panicking like hell. Like the others said, ring the GP first thing, tell the receptionist the problem, tell her about your family history, and insist on an appointment straight away! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you:grouphug:
On to less important things - OS is being achieved in baby steps (but I do have a list!). Tonight's OS has consisted of washing the pots, disposing of the 3 suitcases that I bought to go to Uni nearly 20 years ago, shredding a load of papers (which will go in Mum's compost), eating the HM chilli that I took out of the freezer this morning, and preparing tomorrow's packed lunch.
Having disposed of the suitcases, the problem is what to do with the contents, which is chiefly bedding of sorts. Do I really need 3 single duvets in addition to my double duvet? I have one single duvet on the bed at the moment, as I have yet to start delayering my winter bed. Do charity shops take second hand duvets, or am I looking at throwing them away?
The rest of the bedding from the suitcases consists of an ordinary sleeping bag, my Guide camp blanket, a crochet spread and a combination sleeping bag/holdall (commissioned by my mother when I was at Uni). In addition to that, I have 3 patchwork quilts of varying sizes and 2 of those Asda Smartprice chocolate colour fleeces. In fact, I have 10 of those fleeces - 2 on the bed, 2 on the sofa, 4 currently being used to line my bedroom curtains, and 2 still in their wrappers that I haven't found a home for yet. Am I overdoing things here?
Anyway, time to go and finish sorting out tomorrow's lunch.
Good night, sleep tight!

Charity shops will take any bedding as long as its clean.
You could always sew two duvets together and make an extra large duvet for your bed......a friend of mine did this, she wanted a thicker duvet her OH always complained that he was too hot, so she sewed 2 different weight duvets together and made her own duvet cover.
Until I got our mattress reviver I used a duvet under the sheet on our bed for extra warmth in the winter....works really well......Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Spare bedding can be stored underneath a mattress. If you haven't used them in this really cold spell, perhaps then it is worth parting with them.:o I take emotional comfort knowing that I have blankets. This is irrational.
I hate throwing things like duvets away - my instincts tell me it is wrong, and I visualise it in landfill. However, you have to do something or you will end up on BBC3. Would you buy those duvets in a second hand shop? If yes, donate, otherwise would any of the pet re-homing charities be able to use them? How about somewhere like the Salvation Army or homeless shelters if the duvets are in good condition?
I have thrown duvets away in the past, but usually they were already in a state to make a break for freedom on their own. Also they are very difficult to wash in the bath.
Also, if it is really really really cold it is surprising how much extra warmth a duvet or blanket under the bottom sheet will help.
Someone more knowledgeable than I will be along to help. Regardless, I am doing some comfort knitting, and knitting myself a blanket. I have done two rows.

Hello everyone :hello:
Nearly the end of term for me. :j :j My class seem to be having lots of niggles. I had two boys fighting BEFORE they came into school this morning. And they're only in Year 2!
DH took me up to the Lake District for my birthday at the weekend. We had a lovely time. Breakfast in Lakeland in Windermere (divine!!), a lovely walk from Grasmere followed by a stay in a lovely hotel with lovely food. It's just a shame that it had to come to an end.
We also saw my mum on Sunday. She's beginning to lose her hair through the chemo and she was able to pull tufts of it out. However, she's just sent me a text message saying that she's moulting worse than the dog ever did. She's got some scarves, turbans and just got a wig. It's better than the wig that a friend gave her - think platinum blonde, pigtails tied with red ribbons.:rotfl:
School have given everyone an order form for plants from a company that specialise in selling them for fundraising. I'll get a couple of flowers for the garden, but I'm also contemplating getting a couple of tomato plants. Hmmm......
Right, WM is about to finish and I've got to think about being creative with my storecupboard. I think I need to update my meal planner.
Take care everyone
