Yeah that sounds like a good idea. NHS direct doesn't sound very useful!

I have been able to reduce my overdraft by £300 today which I'm pleased about. I might be able to transfer some more but for the moment I'm leaving it in my account.

    That's fab Zig! :j
What debt is it you have left to clear before your birthday, just the £740 of the OD? That's only about £20 a week (not that I have my birthday countdown in my head already, pfft )

Those shoes are lovely! Pretty jealous, I've been after a good pair of grey heels for ages!

Not such great news about the possible swine flu though, what I don't get it everyone is making this massive fuss about it but doctors won't even test you for it?! At least you've got uni out of the way, so no need to worry about cramming for exams or getting to lessons. Hope you're feeling better soon!

    Hi Cinny!

Well I paid off another £140 today (leaving me £100 for the next 4 weeks) so my overdraft is now at £600, yay! But even at £740, £20 a week is manageable!

I love grey stuff, I wear grey clothes way too often. Not very exciting though! But the shoes are fab. I just need an excuse to wear them now

I just rang my doctor and he said that he thinks I have swine flu, so I just have to stay at home, rest and drink lots. And not go near anyone! So I've had to cancel my overtime shifts for this week. :o My OH is now saying he isn't gonna come and see me because the doctor says I have it and he might catch it, but he would have caught it by now! :p

Oooh, I'm looking forward to getting Swine Flu, lots of bed rest and reading books. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Well done on paying another £160 off the OD, I bet you'll clear your overdraft and have lots of lovely money saved for your 21st, then you can go and buy yourself a fab birthday present! :D

Lol yeah, that does make swine flu seem like a good thing to have!
I think I'm gonna ring the doctors again and see if there's any way I can get tested for it, rather than being diagnosed over the phone. Because I'd quite like some proof, for work, cuz they get so angry when I'm off sick.

I hope so! That'd be good, but I can't see it happening. I hoped to get it paid off by September but I don't think that is gonna happen. I want to go to one of Gordon Ramsey's restaurants for my 21st cuz I'm a right foodie and I've only heard good things about his food! So that'll probably cost a fair amount. I guess you're only 21 once! *Thinks of more reasons to justify spending so much money on one meal!* :p

I'm still feeling rubbish today. Feel like I should be cleaning or something.

I have £27.38 in my Lloyds account, which is my backup in case I run out of money for food for the next 3 weeks. I do have £90 allocated for food though so I should be fine. That money will be probably go on my O2 bill rather than food.

My Natwest balance is currently at -£643, but that should go down once I am refunded £30 from some clothes I bought last week. I thought I had worked it out so that my balance would end up at -£600 cuz I like round numbers, but I've obviously gone wrong somewhere. :p

And I have a whopping £21 in savings. :o

It's a bit annoying that next payday I won't be able to pay much off my overdraft, seeings as I was off sick on Sunday, and have missed all my overtime. But I guess it can't be helped.

I have a positive money thing though. If I'm eligible for a bursary this year, then I will get £1000 that I can pay the rest of my overdraft off with or put in my savings, yay! But I'm not sure if I'm eligible yet so don't wanna count on it too much.

Hi Zig! I've just spent the last hour-ish reading your diary and you seem to be doing well! If you're all swine fluey don't worry about anything other than staying in bed and catching up on your reading!
I love the shoes too! I was very good and had a quick look and closed the window, I don't need any new shoes... I have to keep telling myself that!
I hope the bursary comes though for you, that would be great!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Gordons Ramsey's for your 21st sounds good!

Hope you are feeling a bit better. Hate it when you have to justify being ill to your work. When I used to work at Sainburys I had to have a disciplinary for being off three times in a year, I was still at school at the time so was bound to pick up colds etc.

    Hope you get the bursery.

What a pain about work! Hopefully they'll be a bit more understanding with it being swine flu? It's just stupid the doctors won't properly check you over. Doing it over the phone is silly!

I hope you get the bursery too, how fab would that be?! I think you're right in not getting your hopes up over it, I'd be all giddy just on the chance.

    Hope you're feeling better today!

Thanks for bothering to read the whole thing, must have been fascinating.. :p
I have a TON of books to read but so far the only reading I've done has been this website. So tomorrow I'm gonna force myself to start a book. I'll soon get into it! I actually wanna read the Harry Potter book that is in the cinema, cuz I can't remember the story at all.
I reckon I'm gonna break my neck in the shoes! But at least my feet will look pretty!

Lol I've had the same thing! I catch anything going so I'm constantly having meetings with managers to 'help me with my attendance' I had a verbal warning last time so I crawled in on Sunday then went home 2 hours in. It's stupid. I used to start work at 8am on a Sat, and the policy is that you have to ring up no later than 2 hours before you start your shift. One time, I rang up Fri night and said 'I'm ill, I won't be in tomorrow' and I was told that I might improve overnight so I'd have to get up at 6am to ring up again! Of course, I was still ill. Morons.

I am looking forward to Gordon's! Just need to choose which restaurant!

Yeah I thought it was weird the doctors don't check you over either. But I guess they are trying to contain it and keep costs down etc. The bursary would be really good! It's one of those things where you start imagining where you'd allocate the money before you've even got it!

Yeah I am feeling a bit better today thanks, but it comes and goes which is a bit weird! :o

Could this be the longest post ever?! :p
