I think my OH just forgets that Theme Parks = Big Scary Rollercoasters. I'm in two minds about going, I know I'll love it but I don't think OH would go any more extreme than the teacups!
I'd wait for The Hangover to come out on DVD too, movies like Transformers are always more impressive on the big screen where as a comedy is good on either!
Grapes are good for the cinema when you're on a diet I think, I snuck a tiny punnet in once and it lasted the whole movie. Have fun though, OH thought it was a great movie!0 -
Me and OH went to a water park in Tenerife once. I went on one ride to start with, and thought I was dying. It was one of those down a chute ones, but the water went all in my nose and mouth and I couldn't breathe etc. So I was pretty shaken up. Then we went and queued for this one where it's like a wavy slide. There were 4 of them and we queued for ages and when we got to the top I bottled it and ran away! I felt like a right loser and my OH was so angry. But it was so high (I'm scared of heights) and people were coming off the slide at the bumps (if you know what I mean). ANYWAY! The point of this story is that I felt really bad cuz I ruined OH's trip cuz I wouldn't go on anything else and he was so looking forward to it.
I feel guilty even now! Just wanted to let you know!
(I feel sick now thinking about that ride!)
You're right about the films, we might wait for Year One too. And the grapes are a plan! I'll get some. Did you not see Transformers too? Or is it not your thing?Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

I need to rant.
My flatmate (a man) made some remarks yesterday about how I have so much stuff and how he managed to keep his stuff in one room when he was the lodger here, and not the owner. It has annoyed me because...
1. I am a girl, therefore I have all the toiletries that go with being a girl.
2. I go to uni = tons of books, files, stationery, paper etc.
3. I read = books and magazines.
4. I cook = food, kitchen utensils etc.
5. I have lots more shoes and clothes than him!
I wouldn't call myself a hoarder in that I keep tons of pointless stuff. I just have lots of useful stuff! I do 99% of the cleaning in the flat and I'm annoyed that he is making remarks cuz it's not as if he is Mr. Clean and I'm a slob with all my stuff everywhere. My shelves and under my bed are bursting! I only have a tiny room and he has a massive room with hardly anything in so no wonder my room looks cluttered.

I realised yesterday that I have £17.99 from Amazon due to be taken out, and the money from the sweaty betty stuff that hasn't arrived yet. So I obviously have less money than I though. I do get paid tomorrow though so that's good. I've also gotta spend £20 on dentist tomorrow.
My Halifax card came yesterday and so I've sorted out my Mum's balance transfer. That was £450. Against all sensible advice and my own thoughts, I've decided to help her out. I will pay the CC payments until she has paid off the remainder of the balance on her CC. Then she can start paying off my CCs, then pay me back. If I need to, I will also use some of my overdraft, cuz I won't be using it. That's the plan, although it will probably change. It's strange how, although you know what the right thing to do is, and what is sensible, when it comes to family that just goes out the window and you just wanna help them out.
My Halifax card is pink. :T
Quidco is looking good. I have £20 from opening the Halifax card, and £10 from that Time magazine.
ETA - I just rang Natwest to see about extending my overdraft, cuz I know the limit on a student account increases each year. I spent 8 mins on my mobile, to an 0845 number, just to be told to ring again in September. :mad:Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

I am having one of those afternoons.
Went to make some bread in the breadmaker but I have the wrong type of yeast. Went to make a tomato sauce using a carton of passata but that was out of date. And went to make some tuna for lunch but the mayo was out of date. I really should keep an eye on use by dates.
I have cleaned the kitchen though. But I now need to wash up again, clear the stuff out the hallway and vacuum. Then collapse for a minute before I go jogging later on.
Payday tomorrow! :jTotal Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21

Yay for payday.
Natwest wouldn't let me extend my overdraft for some reaosn when i was at uni! Am glad about it now though.0 -
Natwest are strange. I wouldn't be that bothered if they never let me increase it, because £1250 is more than enough, and I don't plan on using it myself. But it would have been helpful in the plan to help my Mum. But oh well!
I have just had a bath, am watching Deal Or No Deal and have just found out that I have officially passed the first year of uni. Life is good. :j

Well done on passing your first year of uni!
And about your Mum, I think you've done the right thing. I know I'd do the same, well done on the NSD too!0 -
Thank you Wendz and Cinny
And thanks Cinny for saying you'd do the same if it was your Mum. That makes me feel so much better, you have no idea!Everyone else I know thinks I'm stupid for doing it, and financially, I probably am stupid. But I can't just sit back and watch her get deeper and deeper into debt.
Weren't you meant to be going to Kent? Or are you there already? Or am I just completely wrong and confused!Total Debt (Dec 2015) £11,500 : Currently £7,675Lose 21lb : 0/21
