Aww, is Fern leaving today? I love her and Phil together!
I keep getting pestered by one of the MS companies. I think I must be the only local person and I had a bit of hassle with the last Burger job I did (who knew that if you give a bad review they give you shed loads of hassle but a good review goes through no problems!) so I've given them up as a bad job. I get at least one call a day from them trying to get me to take jobs, I just ignore the call or pick up and pretend that I can't hear them etc, but when I looked at my e-mail the other day they'd booked me 3 shops without telling me! Later I got a call asking how the shops had gone so the girl got a telling off considering I hadn't even know that I was supposed to be doing them!

That sounds really annoying Birdie. Are you gonna give them another go or tell them to bog off?

Yep it's Fern's last day. I think Holly Willoughby is taking over her job. There is no better partnership on tv than Phillip and Fern! They are so funny and genuine. This Morning won't be the same without them! *sob* :p

Work was a nightmare yesterday. They have a 3% absence policy, and that translates to - I can only have 1 sick day a year. I had to have a meeting yesterday with 2 managers cuz my absence was at 7.3%.
I have had 5 of these meetings over 2.5 years, one of them was following an absence as I found out my Grandad had died the morning I had to go to work. So I have had 4 days off in 2.5 years, and last time they gave me a verbal warning, so this time they are talking about possible dismissal! I don't wanna lose my job! I saw my manager tho and she is gonna try and help me out. Hopefully I'll just get a written warning. :o

I have decided to stop the £5 a day challenge, cuz I always do rubbish cuz I don't ebay anything! But I am going to do a NSD challenge, and obviously I'll still be doing surveys etc.

When I was in work yesterday I figured out (from what I could remember) how many meals I could make from the stuff in the freezer and cupboard. I counted 11! So my food shopping money will definitely last until payday! Yay!

ETA - I saw this house on Hypnos thread. I want it! http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-19918295.html?locationIdentifier=REGION^4731&radius=20.0&pageNumber=5&backToListURL=%2Fproperty-for-sale%2Ffind.html%3FlocationIdentifier%3DREGION%255E4731%26radius%3D20.0%26index%3D40

Lol they'd have sacked me years ago, I must have had about 3 1/2 weeks off in the last year, 2 1/2 of which were in one go with asthma. I've totally fallen for a house over the last week, so has NIM, total dream house, sadly we could never afford it unless his dad felt like stumping up a 150k deposit!

I know what that is like with supermarkets and their absense policies. It really is rediculous. When i was 15 I had to have a meeting and my mum came, as if you are still at school you have to have an adult with you. She went mental at them haha. I had been off once with flu and once with a cold or something.

I wish I could get someone to come in and have a go at my bosses! :p

I had a NSD yesterday, yay!

I think tonight is gonna be a KFC night though because I won't be getting back til late cuz of a school play I am going to. Hopefully I'll be able to get the OH to pay :D

My flatmate came in yesterday and said that he is planning to move in with his girlfriend. Luckily, he doesn't want to sell the flat, but really, the only option that makes it possible for me to stay is if my OH rents the flat with me, but it will cost £800 a month (inc bills), and apparently that's 'mates rates'! I currently pay £360 a month inc bills. We don't want to rent it together cuz that is a ridiculous price, and we want to save as much as poss for a deposit.

My flatmate wants to get the flat decorated etc before he goes, which will take about 8 months. So I'm thinking that if I'm lucky, I will be just at the end of my second year of uni when I have to leave. I'm thinking of asking my Nan if I can move in with them for my third year, and pay them rent, and commute to uni. But I don't want to make them feel put upon. My other option is student accomodation. But after the nightmare of my first year in student accomodation I kinda don't wanna go there again. Hmm.

What a pain! Couldn't you and your OH rent another flat together though? I don't know where you are, but you can get a 2 bedroomed house for £360 a month around where I work (I work in a truely classy area ;) )

Sounds like a good plan to ask your Nan, you seem to spend a lot of time visting her so I figure you two get along! Maybe suggest it soon, rather then when your landylord/roomie has moved out, so it won't sound so urgent for her.

Well done on the NSD too! :j And yum to the KFC, fingers crossed your OH pays :D Have fun at the school play!

What about a room in a large houseshare? Bills are a lot cheaper, rooms usually are too.

That's cheap rent Cinny! Around here, a one bedroom flat is about £400, and that's for a pretty grotty one! My OH lives at home, 5 minutes from his work, for £20 a week. So I completely understand why he wants to stay where he is. I just hate that I'm the one that is being shoved from place to place. So frustrating when all I wanna do is live with him!

Lol yeah we do get along. I think she'd jump at the chance (she's always asking me to come round) but my Grandad I'm not so sure about. It would be a fairly long time. I think the only thing that would persuade him is if I pay rent, cuz I know the extra money would help them out. I am seeing them this week so I'll broach it then and give them time to think.

Dinah that's my other option, if my Nan says no! I can't live with my Dad cuz (hopefully) they'll have the new baby. I mean, house share could turn out great, but it's the 'burnt fingers' thing. I'm scared to be put back in the situation I was in when I first started uni. And I'll be in my final year of uni so it's really important that everything is settled so I can concentrate on my work.
