I often do sausages or bacon as the saltiness seems to work well, and I do a side serving of green beans.
I agree about the saltiness, but I'd go for a great big thick gammon steak, preferably smoked.

PS. Spooky again. What should I find in ASDA's bargain section tonight, but a gammon steak, reduced to just 49p. It was unsmoked, but I can't complain about this at that price! I can confirm that it goes very well with cauliflower cheese, albeit ready made.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -

it's great with something crunchy - if you want to keep it veggie, garlic bread is my family's favourite with cauli cheese - home made potato wedges are good too0

My family always loved cauliflower cheese with tomatoes and cheese baked on top,it was served with garden peas,potato croquettes and garlic bread.My grand children love it this way too.We are all vegi so I can't comment on any meat it goes with.0
