What has replaced the plasma screen

i think it's wireless technology. everything has got to be wireless these days from internet to printers to sound systems through your homes.
wires are so last century! Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0 -
watching plasma tvs is equivalent to staring at a high watt lightbulb so very bad for your eyes. if i had the money, i'd buy one of the new style projectors - bigger and flexible viewing area and bright enough to watch with the curtains open if you get the right model. Those who will not reason, are bigots, those who cannot, are fools, and those who dare not, are slaves. - Lord Byron0

Yes, thats true. I like the idea and convenience of wireless. The possibly erroneous idea it could be slowly frying my body is less nice though. What do I know, about as modern as I get really is I prefer electric car windows to winddown ones. I'd hate a push button, clap of the hands activated house, but others love'em

LCD doesn't refresh fast enough to give a decent picture (in contrast to plasma), especially when watching fast moving sport. it's ok for bowls though, or if you pay extra for a 100Hz LCD set. i hate LCD tvs, the only good things about them is they don't take up much space, and aren't too heavy.
plasma all the way. who cares they use as much power as an aircraft carrier.
Possibly that's why then.
I remember a very detailed and very boring discussion between my boyfriend and the man in Richer Sounds as to whether we should get the LCD or the plasma (Same model, same price), but all I heard was
"blah blah blah LCD, blah blah. screen burn, blah blah blah blah, the missus doesn't get technology, blah blah blah."0 -
I'm not a great believer in the entire frying my body slowly theory because (a) it's rubbish and (b) we are surrounded by electric wires all day every day letting out massive amounts of magnatism which has never been shown to actually do anyone any harm.
As someone with dodgy friends, I am a great believer in the fact that wireless technology makes hacking incredibly easy, and virtually unpoliceable.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Not sure but I am thinking of buying a sports car for the summer.
Mid Life Crisis I think.
I am dreaming of being able to buy a newish car....as in maybe one about 12 years old! Can't quite get to the thinking of buying one though at the moment, so stuck with dreaming of thinking of buying.
Mine is a midlife crappy car crisis. :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
