You have up to 7 days from delivery to cancel. Don't use it, cancel in writing by registered post. From the Consumer Direct website:

You can cancel at any time until:
    • The end of the seventh working day after the day on which you receive your goods; or
    • The end of the seventh working day after the day on which the trader agreed to go ahead with the service.
But please note that you might lose your right to cancel once the service has started.
You also have a further three months to cancel if you were not given all the necessary written information. If the trader gives you this information late - but still before the three months are up - you will have seven days to cancel from the day you receive that information.

    How to cancel

To cancel your order, you must tell the seller in writing - by letter, fax or e-mail. If sending a letter, send the letter by registered post, so you can prove that you sent it and track its progress.

    Refunds after cancelling

If you have already paid for the goods or services, the seller must refund your money within 30 days of you cancelling the agreement.
If you have paid for the goods by a credit agreement suggested or organised by the seller, the agreement will be automatically cancelled.

Please note that there are circumstances when you cannot cancel unless the trader has given you a specific contractual right to do so.

    These are if:
    • The trader has already started to provide the service within the cancellation period and you have agreed to this. You must have been told in writing - before the supplier agreed to carry out the service - that you would then lose your right to cancel.
    • You had the goods made to your specifications or personalised.
    • The items are likely to go off or deteriorate quickly, such as flowers or fresh foods.
    • The goods by their nature cannot be returned.
    • You have opened sealed software, CDs, DVDs etc.
    • They are newspapers, periodicals or magazines.
    • You bought betting, gaming or lottery services.
    • The price is dependent on fluctuations in the financial market.
    • Goods are clearly personalised
Hope this helps. Sorry for the delay in responding, I have been off-line.

The bed industry is full of hype and gimmicks, and the Sleep to Live marketing system is one of the worst I have ever seen. It is 99% gimmick.
  • Stop moaning about losing a couple of cm here and there, you can never sleep right up to the edge on pocket spring beds anyway.

Between me and my family we have bought 3 of these beds and all absolutley love them!

I suffer from a really bad back, i went onto the black bed in Bensons and was amazed at the bed it told me was best - it was a lot softer than i thought would be right. The guy in the store spent a good hour with me showing me each of the beds, and explaining why it was right for my body. He even showed me why the others from the same manufacturer were wrong for me.

Its by far the best investment i have ever made. I went for the most expensive one (the 900 range), and ive never slept better.
My parents have the 500 - and also love it, and my brother has the 300 bed. Not a single issue, and i wouldnt by a different manufacturer now. My last bed was a Sealy - that was an utter disaster that lasted about 4 months - never again!

    Its worth the money !

When you are comparing it to a Sealy, then it should be amazing.

Hi, we are looking for a new bed and after trawling through the tinterweb and the out of town shopping areas, getting the same comments from mots of th shops.
We came across Bensons for beds.
The service etc was very similar to other shops except we saw the sleep to live system and asked for a free test for me and my partner.
The test came out to show me as medium and my partner as medium soft as being our preferred support levels.
The lady in the shop pointed out the sleep to live beds and also pointed out others in store that were similar to them but very obviously cheaper! although you are still talking £800!
Ive always been one to think seriously about spending that kind of money and came out of the shop with different ideas of which was best.
went back today and tried again the ones that were pointed out.
I honestly cannot see much difference in any of them!
The sleep to live is too expensize at £1400 (king) while the silentnight miracoil 7 was ok and the cape town sealy international was very similar too!
I appreciate the technology to find the correct firmness etc and think it should be made available for all beds not just sleep to live.
However, im still confused as to which one at which price !!!! although im leaning towards the miracoil 7 as its a good name and should have good guarantees.????
any help as to where to buy these items at better price would be appreciated.
    regards Baz

I prefer straw. You just put as much out as you want on the floor, you can even move it around to whatever suits your sleeping position best. Even better, if you have some left over, it doubles up as a blanket, so keeps you warm as well as being comfy. Straw is the future, I'm telling you AND you save a small fortune, do your bit for the enviroment and keep farmers in a job...
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

The Sleep to Live computer is just a gimmick that is used to get you to spend more money, which is why the beds are over priced.

As for the Silentnight and the Sealy, they are both part of the Silentnight group, and you really should do a search on the MSE threads before you even consider buying one.

For better quality and value for money you are better off going for a smaller independent manufacturer. And to save even more money buy on line.
