Just a quick post from me as we're off out soon, as I said yesterday we held a tabletop sale at school yesterday. BOW was running the refreshment stall. She was selling out of date pies & pasties, warming them in a microwave, handling money & making up sandwiches in the corner of the hall on dirty desks & with no handwashing facilities nearby, she was keeping the money in her bra & wasn't wearing gloves. The bursar was having kittens & tried to stop her, but BOW ploughed on regardless. I've been looking for a food hygene leaflet that I can download so I can show her why the bursar was so upset. Unfortunately she takes everything as a personal attack, as she did when I stopper her re-using all the plasic cups in the med room. Does anyone know where I can find this information? I've tried my local council webpage but may be looking in the wrong place.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester
Morning Hester,
If she's selling food there is legislation in place that she must follow, she's breaking the law. It would be disastrous for your school if she causes food poisoning and your Bursar will probably carry the can if/when an EHO (Environmental Health Officer) has to visit . Your local Enviromental Health office (at your local council) will be able to send you some Food Safety information (I work in a school too looking after catering dept and what she's doing is appalling), sorry...but hope this is helpful0 -
Morning all.
Taplady glad things turned out ok. As someone else said, a blessing in disguise
Hugs to everyone who needs one today.
I need one ..... I have two children, DS is 14 DD is 12. About two years ago, DS chose to go and live with his father and new girlfriend. Father 'whispers in his ear' what a bad mother I am and, bless him, he believes it. DD has stayed with me. However, we hardly see DS at all, maybe once a month when he wants his pocket money. DD doesn't see her brother and today, he hasn't phoned, called, sent anything at all..... I am so lucky to still have DD here. She is a Godsend, but I know she misses her brother. As a result, she no longer goes to visit her father because she believes he doesn't want her, only DS.
All I have ever wanted in this life is an OS family and to be a SAHM. Quite how we all find ourselves in this position, I don't know.
However, DD and I are just going down the ford so that the springies can swim. Then we are meeting DM and DF for lunch.
Have a lovely day peeps.

Hi all
Well, no luck with a pouffe at Land of Leather, just a few suites left in there now.
Got a lovely card, choccies and some pink roses from DS, other DS does nightwork at the weekend so don't know what time I will see him. Although he might have been dragged out of his pit by his DD for her mum lol!!
Taplady - glad you have your DH home, maybe this will be a warning for him to slow down
Hugs to all0 -

Lillibet (((((((((Hugs))))))))) What an awful situation for both you and your DD. Hopefully as your DS gets older he will see through his father and come back to you. Not much comfort for you at the moment I know. Try to make the best of your day with your DD. Love and hugs x"Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you are up to........"

Afternoon everyone...........((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))if you need one.
Did not wake up until 9am this morning,we were at the allotment by 10am. Got quite a bit done....OH was in your are the donkey mood again today......so I went on strike.....sat down and told him I would not do anything else unless he apologised and stopped using me as a workhorse.....!!
Taplady - I am so glad that your OH is ok, but he should listen to what the hospital says especially if he has another blocked artery.......he will need another op to sort that out.
Lizzie what a nasty situation to be in.........hopefully your son will realise what has been going on as he gets older and re-establish the relationship with you and his sister.
I have stripped the bed, forgot it was duvet cover day, so it will have to stay on a bit longer. The sheets and pillow cases are in the dryer and towels in the washer will have to go down shortly and collect them.....and put the towels in to dry.
We are having more of the gammon for supper today, I cut somethickish slices on the slicer, will put them in foil in the top of the steamer to heat through, roasties, cauliflower and calebrese and mustard sauce me thinks....baked banana for afters. Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon everyone - and what a beautiful afternon it is, here in Essex anyway. Lillibet I do feel for you - a good friend of mine is in a broadly similar position and it's so upsetting - her DD is an only child and I know just how much her Mum misses her, her father deserves shooting for the damage he's done. I do honestly wonder whether it is the right thing to say that a child of 14 is mentally mature enough to make a decision of that nature - they are still so open to influence at that age.
Sympathy also for Jade Goody's family and friends. At least her suffering is over now but that will be of no consolation to her boys at the moment.
Quite a busy weekend here so far - we were out all day yesterday at the Bar Manager's meeting for the Great British Beer Festival which will happen in August. Lovely to see everyone and OH and I now know what area our bar will cover as well - North East England. Unfortunately we won't know until a month or less before the festival what beers we will have so that doesn't really help with planning much! Got home a little earlier than we expected so as well as walking to the station in the morning we walked back last night too - 2.5 miles each way so good exercise! We did blow it a bit by having fish & chips for tea mind you, but Shhh! We won't mention that...!
So far today I've done a roast dinner (We wanted to eat earlier than normal so we can get out for a walk this afternoon) and have put two loads through the WM - third load is now in. I'll strip the bed before we go out as well and hopefully that lot will go through later. Bathroom has been S&S'd and the meals planned for the next week - The lamb leg joint from lunch will do at least two more meals yet which is good. I'm just enjoying a well earned cuppa before we head out for a walk. When we are back we will re-make the bed, OH will hoover, I will make Pizza for tea, and will also probably make some form of cakes or muffins too. Probably muffins as I have some yogurt to use up. I'm sure there are lots of other things I want to do as well.
Have a great afternoon everyone - if it's sunny where you are make sure you go out and enjoy it!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
