Good morning everyone, Happy Mothering Sunday to all Mothers out there.
((((hugs)))) to all. It's my parents wefdding anniversary today-52 years. Not seeing them today though-they live muiles away and I'm nursing a very poorly child-my eldest has been poorly for over a month and now she has got something else!!! She went to drs again on thursday (after 5 different lots of antibiotics) He gave her more antibiotics and said he thought it might be tonsillistis-she got worse and ended up spending the night in Hospital-they did test and said she has Glandular fever-so there is no treatment. It has to cure itself.
I got 2 lovely cards for today and some thorntons chocolates and 3 bunches of flowersHere's where my pampering ends though-OH going to work shortly and 1 poorly child.

Hi everyone
((Taplady)) hope it is a false alarm, but you will still worry, so look after yourself.
((P-Pin)) look after yourself too, keep posting we like to hear how you really are.
:grouphug: anyone who'd like one.
Will be staying out here for some extra time, as BP has not gone down, and they are doing some checks to eliminate causes, might has well have them done while I can, so normal service will not be back in April!
I open up the page(s) and then log off and read them off line, and when I come back again have forgotten what I was going to say:rolleyes:

Morning Guys!
Lovely day here again today.
WM is on and will be hung outside once done. DW is on too and will be finished and emptied soon. Gammon joint in the SC for dinner later.
Had a lovely breakfast made for me of mini croissants and fresh fruit salad, although I only managed a small amount, but it was nice all the same.
My Mothers Day present is DD painting the toilet for me:j :j She has cut in and hopefully she will get it finished today or tomorrow as it will need 2 coats. Been wanting it done for ages.
Sold a bed throw to a friend yesterday as we are having a sort through and she gave me £10 for it. Also a pair of trainers for £5....£15 profit:j :j Have done a bag for the charity collection on Tuesday.
Bought a size 8 pair of Black ankle leather boots for my SIL about 2 years ago and we dont talk now...so does anyone want them? They have heels and were £18...still have labels on but I got them reduced to £2....anyone got big feet?:rotfl: PM me if anyone wants them.
Dinner-Gammon, boiled spuds, roasties, parsnips, carrots & peas
Hugs to all.

I'm meeting with our DFs at our local at lunch time, and will find out when she starts chemo. We always spend a week with them in France when they spend the summer in their 2nd home, sadly they can't go this year due to the treatment needed.
DH has taken the DW out to try and find out why it keeps stoping mid cycle, so I'm staying well out of the way, more expense me thinks. I have a huge pile of ironing to do so best get on.
TAPLADY, I hope you get some good news re your DH.
TRU, Hope your DDad is well enough to go home.

:hello: morning! all! Looks like a nice day so far.
HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY TO ALL OS MUMS!
Need to be at church early toady for a quick choir practice before mass starts so will have to wake DH in a minute  He'll be delighted, as I expect he's forgotten. He's not a churchgoer but always gives me a lift as it's a bit far for me to walk carrying my bag of music :A
Well, I thought we'd got rid of our mice, but yesterday evening while DH was having a bath, one came trotting into the living room, looking around, pausing now and then to sniff the air, quite happy. DH set the traps again last night but didn't catch anything - perhaps this one doesnt like cheese? The mice we caught recently were light grey, but the one I saw last night was quite dark brown with biggish ears so I'm not sure if it's a different species . When Dh was back downstairs and it came out again, he made a roaring noise at at, so it retired in high dudgeon behind the bookcases, where it made a noise that suggested it was chewing the carpet
- tru, have you managed to get rid of yours in the end?
Hello tattycath, nice to see you back here!
ladymay - I'm glad the play went so well :T and yes, I'm sure tidying your room does count

Will try to come back later, but will just have a quick catch-up of y'day's thread before I get dressed:D
Hope everyone has a nice day. ((((HUGS)))) to all who are ill or unhappy atm.0 -

Morning all,
Happy Mothering Sunday to one and all, have a nice day, I have been give a box of roses chocs, and a card from my dd and the dog. DD was supposed to be cooking dinner, but is off out to watch the footie with her dad, so OH and I will do it, pork chops, roasties and lots of veg.
We went walking yesterday, 5.5 miles all along a local ish harbour and estuary, it was stunning, stopped for a nice picnic, It was sooo warm, I was walking along in a vest top, it got chilly if you stopped though. We came across a stall by the side of the road selling eggs, you could see the chickens and ducks in the field next to it, so we bought 12 chicken eggs for £1.80 and 6 duck for £1.20 :T so we are having duck eggs and streaky bacon on toast this morning :T
Plans today include, a nice walk, mooch around the cat boot sale, cake making, lawn mowing, and relaxing
I saw my mum yesterday, and gave her a huge bunch of daffs, I will ring her in a while, thinking of anyone who is missing their mum today, and of those trying to be a mum, hugs to you all xx
Taplady, hope all is ok, xx
Donny, sorry to hear about your bp xx
Sad to hear about Jade Goody, hopefully it will remind people of the importance of regular smear tests.
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all,
Happy mothers day to all of us mums:A .
Didn't know about jade until read Chrisca50 's post, so am deeply saddened, but glad she is at rest. Feel so much for her boys.
Anyway, today will be cooking sunday roast and going to visit in-laws, I think:rolleyes: . My mum is coming with my ds1 & ds2 as they stopped over last night and she's fetching drawers for their bedroom that she was going to throw out:eek: .
I haven't got cards for anyone but in my opinion would rather have the prezzies:D . We have made salt dough hearts with a twist edge for nan's from gc and am in the midst of making cakes as a gift from me & oh. Hopefully will be gratefully recieved.
Got washing to do and some hoovering.. Also next week is my new clean regime, fingers crossed I can stick to it:p .
Hope you all have a good day.
