thanks merry, yes i feel in limbo. I need to move on.. I know I am in a better position than most, but dont like the feel of 'threat' from the OR or Trustee knocking on the door asking for money via IPA or they have found something suspicious on my bank account statements,
I dont know why Im feeling like that as the most expensive purchase I made before going BR was a PS3 think bought in november for a christmas pressy, £175 :o I could understand my feelings if I knew I was guitly of behaving badly but, oh I dont know....
With regards to the IPA, Im finding we are struggling with the cash we have got, I dont think I put enough down for food on the origional SOA, with 3 normal eaters in the house, one vegitarian and one with food allergy the bills seem to be getting higher. Not got any new clothes for anyone for a while so the clothing allowance is feeding us! lol..
Be so happy when my veg have grown!

    Hi NM

Good to hear that its all progressing & hope your veg is growing in all this rain.
Apparently there was a typhoon storm in Derbyshire on Saturday so I hope my allotment shed is still standing....I had to put a lot of plants in there as was too wet outside!!!!

Thanks for the update...you might feel like you are in limbo but you are moving along in the right direction Hun.

ED would be wonderful & if not then the hardest part is behind you now.

    Take care

Thought I would update on the story so far as today I have hit the 5months of being BR mark. I cant believe how quickly time is going!

    25th ish of may

We received word from our trustee to us both that they were going to take further action over the payment made to MIL last year. I was gutted and it knocked me off my feet to be honest. The letter stated that although they realised that we did not know we would have to go BR at the time of making the payment we could have used the money to pay other creditors and as such we at the time gave her preferential treatment.
The action that they were threatening was to actually take MIL to court to recover the money, although we realised that the chances of them winning were slim we could not let MIL have to go through a court case at her age, plus to be honest me and OH have no fight left in us,
We discussed other routes with the Trustee and one was that they received a offer from MIL to clear up the matter, the debt was £4k, we offered £500 what they did not accept but indicated they may accept £750. We offered this they accepted, we borrowed the money off SIL and she has agreed we can pay it back in a year or so when we are back on our feet. Thanks SIL.

When the Money was given to the Trustee he had said this was the final piece that he had to deal with and as far as he was concerned he had now finished and we can be put for a discharge, we could be looking at the begingin of July.

    3rd June

Today we received a letter of notice of another creditors meeting, one of these was held at the begining of our BR so I am presuming this is to share out any proceeds (if trustee has left any) among the creditors and give them a report of our finances. I do know the first creditors meeting had no one turn up, This meeting is planned for the begining of July.

so I guess our discharge that was mentioned for the begining of July wont be taking place. Not that im too bothered I just really dont want any more letters from the trustee.. although I dont think there is anything else he can get out of us. I am just emotionally drained from it all now. I need to get on with my life and put it all behind me.
I have been quiet this past couple of weeks so im sorry for that, trying to deal with my own feelings and problems.

Does anyone know what happens at these meetings? or what the next step may be?

Read all of your diary, and it held resonance for me and other half too,

Especially about the dentist- our eldest @ 14 has just heard she needs a brace but doesn't qualify for NHS full funding. Shame they've tried to sell the fact that we can pay by cc-which we obv. don't have anymore!!!!!!!!!

we have just had to give backword to friends for a week's camping in cornwall in summer holidays as exhaust went on Espace. With 4 kids and 1 car, can't reallt do without as working f/t both of us.

Am gutted at no holiday, but 8mths in for me with ED in March and OH due for AD in Oct-can totally understand that £200 pitch fees for family of 5/6 plus petrol is out of the range of possibilities when money is obviously as tight as it is with no IPA.

Think this first year is the hardest in coping within limits probably for the first time, plus don't know about you but I am already panicking about xmas pressies for 4 kids and we only ever spent £80 each on thdm.Perhaps this year will be a tenner?

Good luck for the future, hold the thought that there are other folks out there willing you on
