In amongst the garbage on this thread is about half a page worth of valid points. Most of them mine I hasten to add.
Mewbie, the only time in the past that I have seen anyone get under your skin was when you were Nelly, yet mushroom has had you on his hook with no bait. How does he do that to you?

When the mortgages are paid off we will have a very tiny income
But that's the kicker isn't it? Paying off the mortgage. That's the millstone, the never ending debt that reaches off into the distance. Without HPI, and juggling, equity release here, lie to buy there - then the fantasy ends and all that is left is debt.

That's how I see it anyway.

edit: fwiw I have never been Nelly.

When the mortgages are paid off we will have a very tidy income, the children will have their own homes and guess what when your parents pop off you will be able to take over their rental payments and finally have your own pad(rented):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If you gave a flying fewk about your kids youd stop gambling with there futures:D

At this rate all you'll be leaving them is a fewking great debt and a lifetime of insecurity :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

i think the btl landlords who have bought in 2006 and 2007, will be the only landlords who will end up in trouble, but how many actually did buy then??
Missing the point mate. A lot, I mean a lot of people who jumped into BTL back in 2000 onwards, used their equity gains to purchase more BTL's. Fast forward through 2006 and people bragging about their property empires - they were founded on debt pure and simple. So they may 'own' multiple properties, but if each property is maxed on mortgages, and prices are dropping, that means serious problems.

    Think house of cards.
  • whose (sic) secretly enjoying it? I know I am:j

All those years of having my nose rubbed in it now their (sic) all moaning about being stuck with silly mortgages and houses that won't sell:rotfl:

Best thing about this recession
What a short-sighted attitude from 'FungusFighter'. The fact that your posts are littered with spelling mistakes serves to further highlight your (lack of) intelligence.

People - do yourself a favour - don't give FF the time of day. I truly hope that he doesn't ever have to experience the trauma of seeing his property repossessed or finding himself out of work due to sickness or ill health, but don't feel for a minute that something you say can pursuade FF to become less provocative in his opinion. There are many other more informed threads, your time is better served there.
