A fantastic little post that acts as a perfect example for the many instances of schadenfreude on this board.
Odd. Really, really odd.0 -
Stuck with silly morgages?
Houses that won't sell?
What on earth are you on? -The interest rates on these mortgages are an all time low, so this simply means increased profits for the landlord. Also, with increased profits and low mortgage payments why would they WANT to sell in this market?
Why was yor nose rubbed in it anyway?0 -

That's very true actually.
Maybe I should clarify by saying that there's a small minority on here that seem to base a lot of their lives around schadenfreude, spending year upon year posting articles and links to other people's misery and cheering it on. Fat people, immigrants, business owners who are failing, people who have made mistakes etc. Don't get me wrong, 90% of this board debate intelligently, but there is an 'odd' minority. You must see that?0 -

Awwww, I don`t wish carp on anyone. I do understand the anger of many having been shut out of home ownership by the insanity of prices but I don`t think the vast majority of people have been greedy as such. Most wanted a place to call their own.
Having, last time around, felt the fear of maybe losing my home I can assure every body that it is not a pleasant thing.
This whole situation is hurting so many non greedy folk. Someone like myself who has invested in low yielding " safe " products has lost out at this time. Savings doing sweet Fanny Adams. I don`t think that I have been greedy.
It`s a fact that due to this current situation, families will split, jobs will go, suicides increase, long standing family businesses will go to the wall. Where is the cause for celebration in any of that?0 -

This just shows how much you really know. :rolleyes:0 -
A freind of mine, a waiter, without any analysis or thought bought some B2Ls in the mid nineties at very low prices and it got to the stage where I found I wasn't enjoying his company, because he always bragged about all the rent pouring in.
He bought another in summer 07 right at the top despite my advice. It just shows, these people are all about a bit of luck and blissful ignorance.0
