i've got the cobbler in the oven at the minute - I used 2 tins of raspberries ( i drained the juice from the tin).
One question - does the entire cobbler rise above the fruit - mine currently has part cobbler/part fruit - It looks lovely - but is it all supposed to rise and hide the fruit?? It still has about another 8-10 mins to cook.
If the fruit you've used is very wet the cobbler might not rise over the fruit.

Thanks. It looks fab, so pleased I almost took a picture to post on here!
The cobbler has partly come to the top as you say, so you can see the raspberries peeking through - i think it looks great this way, although not sure what it is meant to look like IYKWIM!!
Can't wait to have it tomorrow night - although just a taste for me - its not part of my SW diet! :rotfl:

LOL. Once my mum left my dad a portion of shepherds pie in the fridge to put in the oven to reheat. The next day when she asked him if it was alright he said it was OK but that was the chewyest cheese he'd ever eaten. He'd only left the clingfilm on the top. :rotfl:
I saw a home exchange programme one time on t.v. , an American family came to England and vice versa. They were given the recipe for roast beef and yorkshire puddings, they had the full roast beef dinner but didn't like the yorkshire puddings as dessert!!! they didn't realise they were supposed to go together.

I made the cobbler last night with my dusty tin of tropical fruit salad. I also added some chopped apples that looked a bit worse for wear and some strawberries that were left over. It was delish! The strawberries stayed quite firm but soft IYKWIM and tasetd jammy.

My greedy lot (hubby and 2 kids) ate 3/4 of it in one sitting.

    Thanks BS for the idea.
