I've done an apple and cinnamon one and on Sunday we had pineapple and coconut which was gorgeous.I got it to cook all the way through this time.I think it's to do with the depth and size of your dish.It needs to be wide and shallow. :)

I have also made cobblers using dried fruit but you have to soak the fruit in hot water or tea first for about 30 minutes.

I tried the malt loaf yesterday and followed BS's instructions to the letter. It was in the oven at 180 degrees for 1 hour 20 mins ish. When I sliced a bit off it was still raw looking in the middle so I put it back in the oven for another half an hour.

When it came out it was like a brick but still soggy on the inside. Where have I gone wrong

I've got another one in the oven now with a little bit less tea this time, only had 1 weetabix left though so had to make it up with Shreddies :D .

    Finc.
