I tested the water with an old Nokia 6230 that I thought was worthless anyway (had been daughters and was pink and tatty), so thought, even it was a con, I'd lost nothing. But now have a cheque for the best part of £50!! Was a bit slow, but thoroughly recommended. Check ebay and envirophone, because doing a comparison, some get much better prices on ebay, while some will do just as well with envirophone (after ebay and paypal fees)
  • Try Ebay - although a bit of hassle, I sold my old phone for £75. Thumbs up - it was a freebie in the first place, so I have made profit

Computer exchange also buy used phones. Their website is http://www.cex.co.uk/

They have shops around the country and you can go in and get cash (though you will have to wait while they test that your phone works). You get more if you take computer exchange vouchers instead of cash.

I have just read this post and am already looking round for my old phones. I have found a deal that looks even better though. On Amazon they have some very cheap phones, like the motorola c975, which is £29.99 with £30 credit. Really you are getting the phone for free. If you buy it and use the credit you can then sell it on one of these sites. Mopay is offering £20 and envirofone is offering £14.92 in cash or £17.16 in Argos credit. So with this deal you can use £3O of calling credit for the overall price of £10. I am sure looking around you might be able to find better deals too. :T

I sent my Nokia 6610 to Envirofone. They supply a label but I just wrote their Freepost address on the box and dropped it off at the post office.

I told them about my phone on 10th March. They got my phone on the 16th. It got tested on the 21st. Yesterday my eCard was credited with £28.37 for use at Argos :j

  • Thanks very much... my old nokia 6210 has just been valued at £9.98 cash from www.envirofone.com. It was only taking up space in the drawer!

I've just checked out envirofone to get rid of my unwanted Blackberry 7230. They're only offering just over £3 in Argos vouchers so I'll be going back to my usual favourite selling place..... eBay. There are bids of over £30 for my model Blackberry so I should stand a reasonable chance of getting more than £3!!
