I sent them a Nokia which worked (powered up), but was PIN locked to my sim. Putting in another sim meant the phone asked for a pincode (which I didn;t know).
Envirofone took it no problem. I guess they just flash the memory or unlock it somehow - as loing as the phone actually works is what matters most.Anger ruins joy, it steals the goodness of my mind. Forces me to say terrible things. Overcoming anger brings peace of mind, a mind without regret. If I overcome anger, I will be delightful and loved by everyone.0 -

Does anyone know of a charity that recycles phones that I can give them to instead?
Thanks
Tesco run a scheme. Working phones either £4 to charity or £1 to charity and 300 points (worth £12 in deals or £3 off your shopping) on your Tesco clubcard. Non-working phones not sure on the charity donation but 50 clubcard points. Ask at Customer services for an envelope or apply via tescos web site. Scheme is run by a 3rd party e-mail info@greenersolutions.com for envelopes or info or visit http://www.greenersolutions.com0 -
my phone just gone down by £5 from yesterdays price. Do these prices keep increasing and decreasing or will they continue to fall.0

I've noticed the prices seem to be dropping- obviously as more of us are sending phones in. They are also painfully slow with payment. My cheque took 3 weeks to arrive, website quotes 14 days "but may be longer in busier times". In other words- they'll pay you when it is convenient to them.
Getting fusier on little chips as well- first phone i sent in no problems- 2nd one had a very minor chip to the top and they only gave me 25% of the quoted value despite it being fully functional and their terms apparently allowing minor cosmetic damage. I could have got a lot more on ebay but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of getting them to send it back and being charged P&P.
Still, thanks to original OP- Have given it a go but will stick to ebay in future for any mobiles!0 -
Envirofone have been absolutely brilliant. I sent my Nokia 6680 on the 24th March and got my cheque a week later on the 31st March for £70.50. I will definately use them again!!!"He's a maniac, maniac that's for sure,

I've got a Samsung but I can't figure out which model - they all look the same in the small pictures on the website. Any bright ideas how I can identify my phone?0
