In my experience dont go to envirofone if you need quick cash- use ebay. I sent Forgive me if im a bit cynical but has our postal service turned that bad??? Then i receive a tested ok email on the 17th and now 20 days after i originally posted my phone i have nothing on my argos card... it seems the cheques are quicker but im still not happy with the speed of this service to be honest...

Got my quote a month ago, sent phone in 2 weeks laer, got cheque today (2 weeks later).
Got to agree with nads, easier than eBay, less risk but a lot slower. Price is comparable after fees and PayPal charges.

    Hi all,
just when to let you know that I received my cheque from envirofone this morning. I sent off my Nokia 6630 three weeks ago (before the price drop), and received a cheque for £76.37.
Unless my cheque bounces they are definitely legit. :T :T

  • Hi

Tried to trade in my old Samsung, got their jiffy bag but the sticker on it just says:
    "Freepost

    ENVIROFONE

    envirofone.com"

That's it, nothing else, no address. When I took it to the post office the woman gave me a strange look and said...erm haven't you forgotten something?

Am I missing something? Should I put their address on myself? Does anyone else have this problem?

Thanks to OP for this. I got my cheque this morning (cash being more worthwhile to me than Argos ATM!) I had no problems at all. They were quick and kept me well informed via email.

Sounds like the woman at the post office is stupid.

Freepost envirofone is absolutely fine, if an address was needed envirofone would have put it on already.

Royal Mail will know where the package should end up!

Yeah, I had the same problem when I tried to send a phone to Phones4u ("FREEPOST 4U").

Seems like there's a lot of post office workers not familiar with the "Freepost NAME" service which I find a bit odd given that they are in the business of providing POSTAL SERVICES
